Love this truck...replaces a 1988 Toyota 4x4 pickup with over 200K. All aspects of experience are excellent or near excellent. Have been an exclusive Toyota and/or Lexus buyer for years.

7 months and no problems. Fun to drive everywhere with the the new steering layout, Have trouble keeking away from wife, she likes the power and ride. BETTER THAN THE AVALON. Love the comfort of seats on long trips to coast and mountains. Interior well thought out and love back area for secure storeage. Would buy another.

I have wanted to have a Tacoma truck for quite sometime. I decided last month that it was the time to get one. So, I traded in my 150 Ford Truck 2000 and got a Double cab, 2wd, PreRunner 2005. It is just what I imagined it to be. Looks great, feels great and just the right size. Not too big, not too small. So, far it has been 3 weeks I am very happy with it. The truck runs very smooth and thus far I have had no problems. I am very satisfied with what I purchased.

All of the accolades about this truck are well deserved. I was waiting for a truck like this to hit the market for several years. I traded in my 1986 GMC pickup truck which I purchased new in 1986.

I have owned a Nissan Frontier for years and was satisfied with it (I test drove the 05 Frontier and was not satisfied with it, especially with the gas milage the sticker displayed). I test drove the Tacoma (non-TRD pkg) and was impressed with the results, so I purchased one. What amazed me was the horsepower and torque it puts out for its size. I use 91 octane and average about 21 mpg both city and hwy. Overall, Im very pleased with this truck.

I am 64". I fit in the truck just fine, the problem is little room for my size 14 shoes, the toes hit the bottom of the dash. The telescoping steering wheel needs to come another 2-3" farther away from the dash. As is, with the seat all the way back, my arms at 10&4 are nearly straight, not that comfortable. In 5th gear, the stick knob is in the way of the temperature control. The gears are vague with the need to double clutch to get it into first at times. Otherwise, I am happy with the truck. There is plenty of power with the benefit of good gas mileage. Bed is great but cargo will skate around on slick surface. Im hoping the frame wont rust in ten years.

Fun to drive, very comfortable and roomy. Suspension is soft as easy to drive. Very little plastic inside on dash and around doors, prevents a lot of sqeeking and fading.

I have had the truck for a month and have put about 2400 miles on it. I chose the 4.0 and 6 speed manual. I picked the TRD Off Road 4X4 so I could get the following options I wanted. The 110 volt plug in the back is sweet, but should run off of a seperate battery, allowing the truck to be turned off while using it. The BF Goodrich tires were a requirement. Wanted the rear locker, although I am a bit disappointed (in the sand anyway). Still needed 4x4 to get around. Driving lights were also a desired extra. They add considerably in deer country. The truck overall is everything I wanted. Love the ride, manuverability and everything else aside from the lack of a 6th seat. Recommend.

Traded my 04 tacoma in for this bad boy. Totally redesigned for 05. Interior is luxurious, and huge. Exterior is a real head turner. Love the longer bed, looks great with the toyota aluminum tool box. 4.0 litre is a breath of fresh air, compared to the gutless 3.3 litre from last year. Ive only driven it a few hundred miles, but cant find a negative thing to say about it
