The new design inside and out is awsome.Nothing is the same from the 2004 models,and the price is great also.The increased HP is unbeliveable and the new brakeing system can get you out of a jam.I love it and think anyone would too!

By JG - October 13 - 11:53 amHad an 03 Double Cab and totaled it in an accident. The truck saved our lives and bought the 05 because I believe that Toyotas are built to last. The larger interior is awesome and the truck is so comfortable to drive; rides like a luxury car. No complaints about this truck and enjoy driving it everyday.

By Vance - October 9 - 6:33 amHave only had my Tacoma for 3 months now, but have taken my family of 4 on a 2200 mile trip to Washington DC and it was fantastic!! Plenty of room for both boys in the back with the videos and games, plenty of room up front for my wife and I. The mileage was 2mpg better than the sticker both in town and on the hwy. The truck is definitely a headturner. If I could afford another one for my wife, Id do it in a heartbeat.

By JJP - October 7 - 12:10 amHave had truck only two months,but love it so far. Have 3000 miles on it and no problems at all. Pulled a small camper (3000 LBS) on vacation 1500 miles avg 16 miles per gal. Cant think of anything I dont like about it.

The V-6 has better acceleration and get-up, and has a better transmission than my 2004 Mustang V-6 :( The transmission is very smooth and strong. I got the TRD Off Road package and the ride is smooth. It doesnt bounce or ride hard like many other trucks. I love the overall quality, style and design. Toyota just does it right

Having owned a Toyota truck from 91-98 and then a Ford Ranger from 98-2005, there is no comparison on quality and design. Toyota has it all hands down. This truck crushes all competition hands down in every category that we looked at and we pretty much drove them all. Bravo Toyota for building the truck that all others will be chasing for many years to come!

A Better Tacoma - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By Tom F. - September 16 - 7:10 amI had a 1999 Tacoma and the 2005 is a much nicer truck in every respect. I am very happy with it so far. It has more power, more room, and a much nicer interior than the 99. The ride is very car like and the handling is very good. I got 24 mpg on the first tank of gas. The transmission shifts very smoothly and the brakes are strong. The composite box and movable tie down anchors are a very well done.
