  • Cheap interior - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
    By -

This truck has a very cheap interior. The seats are very uncomfortable and the seating position if poor. I,m dissatisfied with this truck, and very disappointed after all the hype and good things I,ve heard about this truck before I bought it. I am definately going to sell it or trade for a truck with a better interior and more comfort. I am not impressed with the gas mileage either, with 19-20 miles per gallon around town.

  • UGHHHH!!!! - 2005 Toyota Tacoma

While the truck does have towing capacity that is all it has, but it cant even do that at high speeds. Heck a golf cart can pull something, it just cant do it with any speed and neither can my Toyota truck. Gas milage is average for a truck. The interior is small compared to Mazda and Nissan. Also not very comfortable. Road noise is very loud. The body metal is even thinner than before and the vehicle can be dented just by leaning on it. Everything on a Toyota is an extra option costing you more money to upgrade. Toyota is relying on its name and reputation to sell there product instead of giving the customer options. Im getting rid of my Toyota and getting a Nissan.

  • fender fill cap cover and seats - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
    By -

The fill cap cover on the left fender has 4 protruding sharp points, that will cut your hand. The front seat (one piece) is the worst design for comfort I have ever experienced. The hood rattles even though the dealer has worked on the vehicle 4 times. The accelerator is located so far to the left that your leg stays in a cramped awkward position all the time. The transmission is real iffy, weak and the engine sounds as if it is gasping for air. I will never buy another Toyota tomm

  • What not to buy - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
    By -

I traded in a good Chev Silverado Ext Cab for this thing. Top 3 things I hate and will not buy Toyota again. 1. no power - I live on a ranch with some steep hills, it has trouble climbing 2. Mileage - rate at over 20 mpg have yet to see over 15 mpg 3. Warranty - just because my truck sees dirt daily (my driveway is dirt) item that should be covered is voided just because it used off road - written in fine print of the warranty The drive axle needed to be replaced - not under warranty. Bearing went bad in the front - not under warranty.

  • lier lier toyota shame on you.. - 2005 Toyota Tacoma

I bought it in 05 for about $33,000.00 This truck with 50K miles is a money pitt. The service is way over priced. The recalls lists are long yet are minor compared to the list of problems toyota dosnt cover. 1 frame is so weak that it CAVED IN AT THE MOTOR MOUNTS. The result 8 weeks in the shop countless calls to toyota and b/s forever to have them say I need a new frame and it would be around $13,000 to repair my truck what a joke, not a funny one. 2 Newest problem @ 86Kmiles bad cats all four, around $5000.00 to replace. 5 weeks in shop to have them tell me that toyota will cover $1000.00 of it after I pay in full. I cant afford it and no smog w/light on so Im SOL save your money
