LOVE my Tacoma! - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By Buffy - March 26 - 11:16 amMy 05 Tacoma already has 7000 miles on her and has been from the Gulf Coast, to the top of the Rockies and back without a single hiccup. I get admiring looks everywhere I go and people always ask to look inside. The 4WD system is superior (did great in the deep snow) and the new composite bed is fantastic. Lots of clever interior storage space along with very comfortable seating for 5 adults. One time I got 24 mpg on the highway (had a tailwind), but I usually only average 18 mpg in the city. The performance of the V6 engine is very close to V8 in the Tundra, and it even has a cool, powerful sound when you accelerate. Get yourself one soon, only not in white... mines white.

Best Truck of its Size - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By Sean - March 5 - 5:46 pmIve waited to write a review until Ive had my truck for a while. Ive had it for almost 4 months now, and have put on almost 7,000 miles. I love it. Performs great on road and off road. Climbs hills that you would think be un-climbable. Smooth ride, plenty of room up front and back. Finally a truck that comes with a standard bed and 4 doors. I use 91 octane and get 17 mpg avg. A lot of engine noise but I like that so it doesnt bother me. I have had paint chipping problems with the Speedway blue as have more people Ive spoken with. Definitely worth checking out if you like that color. Verdict: Great truck to take out on the town, and then go 4x4 and climb some hills.

not so bad - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By Cleve Miller - February 27 - 10:10 amIts a good truck that has a lot of power behind it. Also it handles like a car unlike most trucks that handle like its an 18 wheeler. The interior design is futuristic and sporty. This thing is rugged and seems like it can take a lot of beating.

Best ever - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By DARRELL BLOCH - February 19 - 9:36 amMy second Toyota truck. First went 287,000 miles! Extremely good power train and excellent brakes. Very good mid-range torque and a very quiet ride even at 75 mph.

Best ever - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By Doc J - February 14 - 6:10 pmIve owned a number of Toyota trucks in the past. All have been excellent with incredible trade-in value. This one is the best ever. Roomy, solid, plenty of power, 6 forwards, bed tie downs, protected bed, much bigger extra cab, great sound system, easy to red dash, plenty of leg/head room and a large feeling cab (not closed in). Head lamps seem brighter and flash rather than stay on all the time. I love the vehicle.

The Leader - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By Roman - February 5 - 1:26 amThis is an outstanding vehicle. It is far superior in quality and design than other trucks in its class. I have owned several trucks and Toyota has always been the top in its class.

Toyota Does It Again! - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By Rainman - January 17 - 9:20 amIve bought Toyotas off and on since 1982: 82 Tercel, 86 MR2, 01 Highlander, and now the 05 Tacoma PreRunner. The one constant in Toyotas engineering is that it keeps getting better and better. This upgrade to the Taco is no different. They are not resting on their laurels, and clearly want to retain their market share by creating an ingenious double cab with quality and features second to none. After only about 1200 miles of driving, I can tell this truck will be in my stable of vehicles for a long time ... well beyond the time it is paid off.

Great Reliable Truck - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By Jaime - January 5 - 5:50 pmI got an Ext. Cab with TRD-Off Road Package. The truck is excellent in everyday driving. I drive through country roads with only 1 lane(in each direction) and find myself passing other trucks and vehicles all the time. Very dangerous but I have enough power to do it quickly! Very reliable truck, already have 50K in it and the engine and paint are as good as new. I drive fast and only get 17.5 MPG, but when I slow down I reach up to 19.5 MPG.

My 21st vehicle - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By capemike - December 26 - 4:36 amI buy vehicles more than some people change socks. This is my 21st new vehicle (between me & wife) that Ive purchased. I have owned pretty much every make truck, with Chevy being the worst, and Toyota being the best. This new style Tacoma caught my eye, and after driving one I had to have it. The power of the 6 cylinder is more than sufficient for this truck. The interior is quiet, well organized, and spacious. It is comfortable and well designed. I have found Toyota manufactures a quality vehicle and this truck is no exception. I would definitely reccommend this truck to others.
