Super truck on all levels. Design, fit, finish and materials are at luxury car levels. Researched all compareable trucks in detail and the Tacoma excells in every catagory. I dont have many miles on it yet, but the comfort factor along with the driving enjoyment justify the purchase. I love it and it appears that most other motorist do as well.

Have had the truck for three months. Great handling truck on mountain roads. Great sense of stability. Plenty of power to pass when there is little room in which to pass. Great rear seat accomodation for grandchildren.

Overall, the driving is spectacular. its very comfortable and easy to drive, which was unexpected because im a girl. It was a little scary turning the corners because its a tall vehicle compared to the small car i was driving before, but i just need to remember to not drive too fast and to turn the corners softer. the fuel lasts longer than most other trucks do, but maybe thats because its a bit smaller than the other larger trucks out on the market.

I replaced a Pathfinder with this truck and boy, what a difference!! The V6 is powerful enough to tow my bass boat with ease. The accelaration is excellent; the braking is good. Even with the off-road package, it is not that bumpy. We drove it to Destin; my wife and I were completely comfortable in the bucket seats. I HIGHLY recommend this truck.

  • Nice Cheap Truck (Inexpensive) - 2005 Toyota Tacoma

I was planning on buying a new Tacoma this year, I just happened to get lucky with the restyling for 2005. The truck looks as good as any truck out there, and looks like a "real" truck. Before making my decision I looked at used trucks of all kinds...outrageous prices for somebody elses high mileage monster. I was pleasently surprised to find I could buy a brand new Tacoma for around 16 Grand (people are selling their used Tacomas for more). I got the PreRunner 4 cylinder because it was cheap and so am I, and I get the added benefit of good fuel mileage. Of course before receiving the truck I was concerned about H.P. envy, the truck has pleanty of power and drives great. No envy.

This is one awesome Taco! Been driving this now for 2 months, it is a perfect truck. I struggled with the decision of a full size truck vs midsize. The new Tacoma is a perfect blend of fullsize function and midsize fun. I didnt want a truck that drove like a truck (long brake distance, funky cornering, etc) This Truck stops quickly and is responsive in cornering, plus it fits in my garage! One thing important to note, with the Off Road package, it is a bit bumpy, but again this isnt a granny sedan! The truck is great, very powerful, excellent acceleration off the line. And finally I love the fact I wont have to worry about major problems.... its a Toyota!

This model should sell well for Toyota! I bought this truck to replace an aging 95 Montero.

I was sold on Dodge for many years having owned 3 Dodge trucks and 1 Dodge van. After the Dodge dealership didnt have what I wanted, and didnt seem too eager to procure my vehicle of choice, for grins, I stopped by the Toyota dealership. That afternoon, I test drove the 2005 Tacoma Crew Cab, 4x4 and NEVER LOOKED BACK!!! They ordered what I wanted and I have had nothing but praise for this truck.
