This Year's Model Updates:

XLE and XLE Limited models now offer a power-adjustable passenger seat.

Pros:
  • Smooth ride, refined V6, fold-flat 60/40 third-row seat, seven- and eight-passenger seating configurations, great fuel economy, available all-wheel drive.
Cons:
  • A bit too much lean in the corners, seat comfort and noise isolation could be better, expensive option packages.

  • Toyota for use with wheelchair lift - 2005 Toyota Sienna
    By -

We bought a Toyota Sienna to be able to transport my husbands electric wheelchair. The Harmar AL-600 lift fits well and was easy to install thanks to the "stow-and-go" rear row (which is stowed). The lift (which lifts only the empty wheelchair) was easy to install and works great in the Sienna. The Sienna is really quiet inside (compared to our 1997 Honda Civic) and quite comfortable. For a van, the gas mileage is quite good. Unfortunately, I dont see much out of the back using the rear-view mirror - I now have to use the large side-mounted rear-view mirrors. The transmission is smooth and its really corvenient the way the seats in the back row fold away completely.

I had a Town and Country which turned out to be a lemmon. I love my Seinna. We have two young children and the attention Toyota put in this car to make it a family car is great. We have taken several long trips and she drives like a champ. This car also looks sleek and its a Toyota.

  • Buy this Van, its awesome!!!! - 2005 Toyota Sienna

We switched from an SUV to this van and have never regretted it for one second. Its sporty, lots of pep, and drives like a luxury sedan. We like everything about it!!!!! We compared the Dodge,Honda, and Chevy Uplander. The dodge felt very cheep, drove like a 1995 caravan with different body and the seats were razor thin and very hard (but I guess you have to give up something for 2nd row stow and go....) and the Honda felt like you were driving a very big full size fan that was about an inch off the pavement. The Uplander was underpowered, exterior design is terrible, and doesnt have a lot of the little handy items that the Sienna has. Dont waste your time comparing, go for the Sienna.

I love my Sienna. I had an Express and thought I couldnt go smaller, but I did. It has everything I needed. We have 5 grandchildren and three in the family. We needed eight seats. It has plenty of storage and handles very well. Weve only had it a week, but I am very very pleased.

I had a 2004 Sienna, but decided to upgrade to a 2005 because I wanted all the extras like leather seats and a sunroof. I love this car. It is so comfortable and convient. I have a teenage son, who has many friends that have places to go. I can drive them around, they have the DVD player so I can still listen to my own music and not be bothered with their stuff. Sometimes I hate getting out of the car and going into someone elses; since mine is so comfortable. It is fun to drive and a sharp headturner!

Owned Ford, Dodge,& Pontaic minivans. They were all good vehicles. So far I find this 2005 Sienna to be superior. You can feel the quality. Smooth ride, very spacious, built solid. Costs more than others, but if you want a vehicle that will hold up,its worth it.

  • uses lots of gas ?! - 2005 Toyota Sienna

I used to drive an Avalon, so Sienna appeared to be heavy. I suppose it is common for van. I am in general happy with it. One big surprise, however. I have 300 miles on it and the milage track (part of the package) indicated 15MPG! I am not sure if other people have similar experience or shall I check with the dealer

  • All the Toys! - 2005 Toyota Sienna

I agree with the other owner of the XLE Ltd AWD. Get the best with all the toys! I love everything! We got the van to hold the whole family, including the grandparents. The fuel expense took getting used to though, going from a car to paying $40+ to fill up the tank , hurt.

  • So much room. - 2005 Toyota Sienna

What a great van, drives so smooth and quiet. Power door and fold flat 3rd row seats are so nice. Second row seats are easy to remove and dont weight too much. Interior gages and finish is top notch. Drive noise is much quieter than the Honda odyssey. Looking for a minivan, make sure and look at these. For 26K you cannot beat the options, features, Toyota reliability and resale value.
