XLE and XLE Limited models now offer a power-adjustable passenger seat.
- Smooth ride, refined V6, fold-flat 60/40 third-row seat, seven- and eight-passenger seating configurations, great fuel economy, available all-wheel drive.
- A bit too much lean in the corners, seat comfort and noise isolation could be better, expensive option packages.

Great Van - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By Sandy - August 23 - 1:16 amI just purchased this van 3 weeks ago. I LOVE it! I came from a grand voyager (99) and can not believe how far vans have come! This van Is wonderful! It has all the features I wish I had in my last van. We have a place in North Carolina, and can not wait until we get to take it there. This van is very thoughtfully made. It has the busiest moms in mind! I looked for a long time and finally found this one. I am glad I waited and found the Toyota Sienna

Sienna wheel bearing woes - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By B a C - June 28 - 12:33 amOwned Sienna for 4+ years now. Only 120,000 kms on vehicle and both front and rear bearings simply worn out. Very expensive to replace, as both bearings and hubs replaced same time. ($ thousands). No help from Toyota to date, but I continue to ask. Tires were an issue, but they did replace under recall. All toyota AWD vans seem to chew the tires off their rims! We had AWD Previa before and same problem with tires. Power window fell off track and over $400.00 to replace. This is an extremely expensive van to buy, and maintain. Paid over 45,000 taxes in, and still forking out thousands to keep it on road after only 4 years. Most parts are only available through dealer.

Do Not Buy - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By Do Not Buy - June 23 - 11:13 amFrom day one anything that could go wrong did. Replaced battery in 3 months, brakes and rotors at 28K miles, tires 30K, miles, door hinge broke, sliding door hinges rattled, seat belts locked up, struts and mounts replaced @ 60K, transmission and torque converter problems start at 45K, at 94K are terrible, still have extended warranty so of course Toyota can find nothing wrong with it. Have also replaced fuel speed sensor, rear air vent goes on and off by itself. Toyota wont fix that either. (guess I have to wait until the extended warranty is up) Windshield whistles??? Very, very, frustrating. Lets not forget replacing the spark plugs 35K miles too soon. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON AN EXTENDED WARRANTY!!!

AWD sienna review - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By Matt - June 10 - 5:20 amOverall the best minivan available. Odyssey drives/handles better and has better mileage but is not available with AWD (helpful for MN winters). Very happy with fit/finish and build quality however cabin noise is excessive at highway speeds (70+) and chassis rumbles over rough surfaces. No rattles yet but seems likely well get some down the road.

My Sienna - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By Robert Ruddle Jr. - May 30 - 11:06 amI Have been enjoying my new Sienna. Sometimes however, I find it does not seem to steer straight. It wants to pull to the left. This is my first big vehicle and it does take some time getting familiar with how the van handles. It is a super smooth ride but be careful, this van glides so smoothly that you do not realize how fast you are going! My power sliding door is making some noise it did not before. ( Sound like it needs lubricant ) The folding seats, removable seats are wonderful. I hauled a queen sized sofa bed in it and had plenty of room to spare! I get about 23 mpg so far with 93 octane fuel and about 20 with 89 octane. The engine is louder now than when new.

Great Minivan - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By Scats - May 3 - 3:56 amOwned a 3 Chrysler T&Cs prior. After my second experience with a blown transmission, went with the Toyota quality. Sienna drives very spirited and is much more car like then my previous van. Fuel economy is close to 26 mpg on the highway which I think is fantastic. I look forward to my first long trip with it in the future.

Excellent Minivan - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By MD Gene - April 2 - 6:00 pmThis is a fantastic vehicle. The AWD has already saved us in the snow here. The kids love the seats and the space (we havent fired up the DVD yet). We love the stereo and other convenience features. The controls are mostly intuitive, although a few require some trips to the maual. The seats are very comfortable and very adjustable and the leather is luxurious. Handling is unexciting but acurate, competent, and forgiving.

Toyota may have saved our lives! - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By Peggy - April 1 - 10:46 pmLoved our 2005 Toyota from the beginning, but even more so after a side impact crash. We dont have side airbags. We were hit by a pickup truck going 30mph. Hit was mainly to sliding passenger door. This vehicle held together like you wouldnt believe! There were 2 of us in the front seats, but we only received seatbelt bruises.
