Overview & Reviews
XLE and XLE Limited models now offer a power-adjustable passenger seat.
- Smooth ride, refined V6, fold-flat 60/40 third-row seat, seven- and eight-passenger seating configurations, great fuel economy, available all-wheel drive.
- A bit too much lean in the corners, seat comfort and noise isolation could be better, expensive option packages.

Good Minivan, but not Great - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By GarlicFolk - May 31 - 1:36 pmInitial build quality for Sienna is excellent. Engine is a little weak at only 3.3L. However, 5- speed auto produce adequate power and surprisingly good fuel economy. A full tank of gas (20 gal) goes about 450 miles!

Toyota Minivan or Lexus Minivan - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By ss - May 27 - 7:43 amAlways thought people enjoy minivans when they buy it and when they sell it. Here comes Sienna, sales man insisted my wife to test drive it and thats it. We loved it over GX470, Honda Pilot,Seqoia.... Took the highest model, paid 37K and love it. Toyota dealerships are the best and Toyota company is always asking feedback to improve. For future maybe some extra power would be good. But this is a true gem. Great drive city or highway. Music system is awesome. Did not take entertainment system ot navigation but everything else is in here. Love how the dashboard looks at night.

LOVE IT! - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By Chip - May 8 - 3:43 amI had researched the sienna and the new odyssey. Both were essentally the same. The honda had more gadgets but did not have remote rear windows. What sold me was the Siennas ride was far better and the middle seat was more functional for my needs than was the odysseys. What a great vehicle! Driving it is an absolute pleasure, responsive, nimble and I got 24 miles per gallon on the first tank. Fold down rear seats are a real plus and the middle row is very funtional.

Beware of AWD - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By James Mayberry - May 3 - 1:13 pmPurchased the 2005 XLE Limited in Oct 2004. Ordered it fully loaded (dvd-Nav- etc) with 2 wheel drive. Was delivered as AWD and dealer convinced me it would be no problem. Shame on me !!! After 28000 miles it has averaged 18.3 MPG overall (mostly highway), has had one set of new tires and already shows 40% wear on second set !! At $1156 per set, this figures out to approx $100 per Mo. for tires alone !!! Wanna buy one--- "Have I got a deal for you" !!!

Sienna- 1 week impression. - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By MrBob - April 17 - 5:43 pmAfter checking tons of posts I realized that today my choice of minivans is narrowed by two brands Toyota and Honda.I started with test driving Sienna and ... did not even want to try another van. I chose Sienna LE FWD 8 seats with package #1.List of selling points for me:0. My daughter loves it!1. Great handling and turning radius 2. Great build and material quality 3. Got exactly what I want without paying extra money for extra toys 4. The same engine and tranny that lexus 330 has 5. Yours - consumers satisfaction (compare to a Hondas) 6. I leased the car and will consider to buy it off lease.

MULTI USE VEHICLE - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By zebra - March 25 - 5:53 pmVan used for hauling furniture and then converted to a grandkid bus. Extremely quiet, even at speed. Gas mileage almost equal to my other compact car. Mileage well up into the 20s (mostly highway). Fold down seats great feature. Power doors actually are easier on the vehicle, and us. No service problems, same as our last 4 Toyota vehicles.

Great Minivan - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By MD Jim - January 9 - 10:00 amThis minivan has everything you could want, while being a very quiet and smooth ride. The LE model I purchased is quieter than the new and improved Honda Odyssey Touring Edition we test drove. I am really impressed by the engineering, ergonomics, and overall functionality. I cant wait to take it on future family vacations.

fun to drive - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By score - December 17 - 7:33 amIt is smooth and fun to drive. Very thouthful options. Best value in any minivan for 2005, only tricky honda minivan came close. Toyota has far superior intrumentation quality and reliablity compared to honda because i own both vehicles.

Outstanding mini-van!!! - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By ron - December 14 - 6:23 amWe purchased our Sienna CE in June of 05 and have logged 24K miles absolutely trouble-free. Transitioned from a Pontiac Transport, a disaster of a mini-van. The Sienna is quiet on the road, smooth to drive, has solid pick-up, Toyota reliability, and a great buy for the money. We are surprised that it is not cited as "best buy" for 05 vehicles! I would not hesitate to buy another!!
