This Year's Model Updates:

XLE and XLE Limited models now offer a power-adjustable passenger seat.

Pros:
  • Smooth ride, refined V6, fold-flat 60/40 third-row seat, seven- and eight-passenger seating configurations, great fuel economy, available all-wheel drive.
Cons:
  • A bit too much lean in the corners, seat comfort and noise isolation could be better, expensive option packages.

  • Best in Class - 2005 Toyota Sienna

Replaced a 2003 Chrysler T&C Ltd, had many problems covered by warranty, but got sick of down time. The Sienna has a far better ride than the chrysler and seems to have a better reilability history. Passed on the Sienna XLE Ltd, as I thought the price did not justify the difference in options. Overall a great ride.

  • Cant be beat! - 2005 Toyota Sienna

This is an car not only for the family, but is fun for the Daddy too. Until looking in the rearview mirrors, I cant tell for Im driving a car or minivan. Well manner, and super handling. The one negative I would have to say is the noice level. My previous minivan was a Chrysler TandC and it had noticably less road noise then the Toyota.

  • Tires replaced to often! - 2005 Toyota Sienna
    By -

I bought the 2005 Limited Sienna Van brand new. We have had to replace the tires every 23 to 26,000 miles. We have had the tires rotated, alligned and balanced as suggested. The tire manufactures cannot figure out why the tires will not last and have been replacing them free because they are not lasting until the warranty period is up. Firestone has given us 3 free sets of tires, Gateway gave us 1 free and 1 prorated. The local Toyota service manager told me that this is just the way the vans ride and it is normal????? BEWARE

  • Saved My Life - 2005 Toyota Sienna

This van saved my life. I was recently involved in an accident that totaled the car. Designed safety features kept the driver/front passenger area from caving in on me. My worst injury was a broken wrist requiring surgery. My infant son did not have a scratch. The fireman said I was lucky to be alive. The whole front end of the car was sitting on the ground. All windows shattered but never fell inside the vehicle, per design. I highly recommend this vehicle for safety alone! That said, the car is luxurious and less "minivan Like." We have replaced it with a 2006.

  • Love the 8 Passenger Seating - 2005 Toyota Sienna
    By -

We love our Sienna. It is a great ride. The 3 seats on the second row are a plus when you have the need for more passengers. And with anchors on each seat across the second row you cant go wrong. Love all the storage and smooth ride. The DVD is great for the trips. We researched vans a long time and am very happy with our purchase.

  • Great Van - 2005 Toyota Sienna

The Sienna has been great. We were sold on the Honda Odyssey for a long time, but decided to look at Toyota near the end. My wife and I both loved it. Great van, also an excellent value. We have the XLE with leather.

  • CE: Road Noise/Rough Ride - 2005 Toyota Sienna
    By -

The Sienna CE is our second Toyota minivan, and we purchsed it due to the outstanding reliability of our 93 Toyota Previa minivan. The Sienna is a good overall value, but has an unacceptable level of road noise for a Toyota. The ride is equally out of character for Toyota quality. Both issues are evident and compounded on long trips. Our 13 year old Previa has a better ride that our new Sienna. The Sienna CE is not for the family that travels.

  • TOYOTA SIENNA - 2005 Toyota Sienna

Would like to have had six cd changer-got navigation and was told could not have 6cd changer. Premium gas only? Great ride sometimes light/mpg so far 16.5. Hope it improves. Arm rest/driver awkward to adjust on right side. For price, need more features.

  • great family van - 2005 Toyota Sienna

my first mini van, and love it. 2K mile so far, no problem at all. the braking is not as good as cars, and doesnt drive like a porsche, so save me from getting more tickets. dont know AWD yet, will wait until winter.

  • Cant go wrong with this minivan - 2005 Toyota Sienna

This vehicle made perfect sense for my family with three children. Timing couldnt be better, either, with some summer trips to the mountains planned. The roof rack is very sturdy and Yakima makes planting the bikes up there an easy proposition for under $300. However, like another guy said elsewhere, running boards would make this task a bit easier. But $2,000?! I feel a little like a soccer dad driving this rather immense vehicle around, but once you get used to it, the Sienna feels very car-like. On the other hand, I piled some 4x8 foot plywood among other manly Home Depot pieces to get my machismo back. My main complaint are the too many gadgets to "protect" you - beepers/buzzers.
