Overview & Reviews
The Sequoia is virtually unchanged for 2002. SR5 models have two additional stand-alone options this year: keyless remote and front foglamps.
- Ultra-refined drivetrain, surprisingly agile handling, versatile and comfortable interior, impeccable build quality.
- Non-descript styling, comparably low towing capacity.

Wow !! This thing continues to amaze - 2002 Toyota Sequoia
By Sequoia Eric in OR - November 24 - 2:00 amWe at all the SportUtes and bought the Sequoia. Recently sold a Chev product & had nothing but troubles with the build quality, ride & mechs. Wanted another but were wary. The Ford products were about the same. We like the features, reputation & build quality. No leather & sunroof. We did get the alloy package & the dual climate control. The dealer dealings were a breeze, no trade-in, had our own loan lined up and "stole" in for about $3,800.00 under list. At the time dealers were getting $1000 + mark up over sticker. Weve had it 14 months & even with higher gas prices we still love the vehicle. No problems. Its a Toyota...

Best in its class - by far - 2002 Toyota Sequoia
By jsotis - October 30 - 9:46 pmWhat a phenomenal vehicle! All Expedition/Tahoe/Suburban shoppers do yourselves a favor and test drive the Sequoia. The differences will be glaringly obvious including the interior features, the convenience and placement of the dashboard knobs/buttons, the purr of the V8 engine and the sleek exterior design.

absolutely satisfied - 2002 Toyota Sequoia
By Dr. D - October 13 - 2:00 amIve owned a Land Cruiser, a Range Rover, a Discovery, and 2 Dodge trucks previously and find myself extremely satisfied with the Sequoia. For a full size SUV, its the best value for the money considering all factors.

MLSmith comments - 2002 Toyota Sequoia
By Mark & Linda - September 18 - 10:00 amTo date we have no second thoughts about our choice to buy the Sequoia. It has lived up to every expectation we had. We intially wanted a smaller SUV but once we were exposed to the Sequoia there really wasnt any other choice.

GREAT SUV - 2002 Toyota Sequoia
By Archie - September 18 - 10:00 amIf you have a little bit more to spare, why not go for the best one...The Sequioa is definitely better than the Suburban, Expedition, Escalade..you name it. I had mine for 18 months now and still feels like its brand new.

Best Buy for under 45K! - 2002 Toyota Sequoia
By S. Rand - September 15 - 10:00 amWe considered EVERY SUV on the market for 45K or less b4 buying (Tahoe, Envoy, Jeep, Yukon, etc). We took the time to dive/ride in each one b4 deciding. Ultimately Toyota held its value the longest, had the nicest feel (plushy) and reliability, and got us the most bang for our buck. Would recommend to all and would rebuy!

disappointment - 2002 Toyota Sequoia
By txag - September 8 - 3:56 amWhile I love the size and comfort compared to other SUVs, I have had a number of non-drive train problems, none of which the dealership would fix under warranty, despite the truck being less than 3 years old. Antenna no longer retracts, several pieces of interior molding have had to be replaced, including the drivers side door handle, motor on liftgate window burnt up after only a couple of years, and the air conditioner is a piece of junk. Not only does the AC control decide whether youre getting hot or cold air depending on the temperature you choose (and it varies with outside temp), but the strength of the air output changes if you change the temperature, or if you accelerate.

2002 Sequoia Limited 4x4 - 2002 Toyota Sequoia
By HS - August 11 - 5:43 amFun vehicle to drive. It is very well built and plenty of standar features. I felt that the 10 speaker description on the window tag is misleading. They count the front door speakers as two because is has a tow elements (tweeter and wolver - if I am describing it right). But even count this speaker as two each, I still can not find two of the ten speakers. The sound system could be a little better.

After 4 Days - 2002 Toyota Sequoia
By BigBeav - August 7 - 10:00 amDisapointed on some simple features missing I expected to be in this price range of a vehicle. Being my first Toyota I expected some features found in lower costing vehicles. My bigest dissapoinments were the inside lights having no switch on the dashboard to turn them on to look back at night to see if the kids are okay. My wife is upset no vanity lights were on the visors Will post again in 6 months once I am more familure of the vehicle.
