Overview & Reviews
The Sequoia is virtually unchanged for 2002. SR5 models have two additional stand-alone options this year: keyless remote and front foglamps.
- Ultra-refined drivetrain, surprisingly agile handling, versatile and comfortable interior, impeccable build quality.
- Non-descript styling, comparably low towing capacity.

Bigger but not Better - 2002 Toyota Sequoia
By 3lakeswi - May 26 - 2:06 pmThe Toyota is far bigger than any before it, but is by no means better. A goofy and unavoidable traction control system that actually governs the engine, exterior pieces that mysteriously disappear, and other problems plague our Sequoia. The engine and driveline (excluding the traction control) deliver good power and reliability with decent mileage. The interior styling is blah and the newness wears off of this vehicle rapidly.

im lovin it! - 2002 Toyota Sequoia
By sandman91b - May 20 - 10:00 amSince my wife and I are both 63" and have 3 children we have been thru the ropes with Ford and Chevy both. After owning my Malibu for 4 months I swore Id never own another Chevy or Ford product. I did get wrangled into test driving a Trailblazer EXT. During the test drive the 4WD went out and the side window got stuck in an open condition. That was the end of that. I did alot of review reading on several vehicles and it took me to Toyota. I went out to the dealer and test drove the Highlander(way too small for 5) then the 4Runner(just a hair to small) then we climbed into the Sequoia. It was a match made in heaven. My dad has a Camry..300,000+.

Sequoias are the best - 2002 Toyota Sequoia
By DFH2004 - March 12 - 2:00 amIve owned a Jeep CJ7, Grand Wagoneer, Exporer XLT and none can be compared to this Sequoia. I average 21.5 mpg on the highway which is great for a 5,700 lb vehicle.

as Tony the Tiger would say "GREAT" - 2002 Toyota Sequoia
By Big Man - March 11 - 10:00 amAfter driving Toyota Land Crusiers in the past I was not happy to be paying the $65,000 for the new Land Crusier and opted for the more affordable Sequoia. I was not disapointed at all it has better performance and gets better mileage than the crusier. I see alot of people complaining about the little things on the vehicle, but let me tell you thats just what they are little things. When focusing on the big picture this is about as good as it gets. What a great SUV! And remember to buy one now before the Democrats make then illegal to drive!

Safety First - 2002 Toyota Sequoia
By Mr. Mike - March 7 - 2:00 amWe were hit by a chevy truck going 40 MPH square on the front passenger door. Our vehicle was totaled. But sitting on the inside you would hardly know it. One window shattered, otherwise, the interior held strong! We were hit so hard, our vehicle was pushed 20 feet sideways, and pushing another car at the same time. We are replacing it, with another Sequoia! Safety first.

Sequoia - 2002 Toyota Sequoia
By nodefect - March 5 - 10:00 amThis vehicle looks great ! The workmanship is outstanding, the ride is smooth and responsive unlike other full size SUVs. I drove them all (Explorer,Expedition,Tahoe,Denali,Envoy XL) None of them can compete with Toyota quality.
