This Year's Model Updates:

The Sequoia is virtually unchanged for 2002. SR5 models have two additional stand-alone options this year: keyless remote and front foglamps.

Pros:
  • Ultra-refined drivetrain, surprisingly agile handling, versatile and comfortable interior, impeccable build quality.
Cons:
  • Non-descript styling, comparably low towing capacity.

Beautifully crafted. Solid, great feel. Good dealership support so far. I think my only concern is that there is a speaker buzz that is being looked into and no reading lights for the middle and rear seat passengers.

Great for the Kids and the wife. Had a Caravan before, that I could not wait to get rid of. We worth the price. Not an off the shelf suburbon or expedition. This car is so nice and smooth. I feel very safe.

When I first bought this SUV I didnt think that I would like it because of the size, but after a few days I realize that it is like driving a car. Toyota has thought of everything when they built this fullsize SUV. I test drove the Yukon and the Tahoe and they could not compete with the comfort and handling and performance of a Sequoia.

I love this SUV, had 2 4runner limteds before....the only draw back with this SUV is no lockable glove-box, and no light under the hood...What gives toyota? Also would be nice with a nav system. otherwise, great ride, lots of room and great stearing....

Ive had this car for a year, and was a replacement for a minivan. Paid $34,500 for the SR-5. So far it has lived up to expectations. Love the fact that the rear seat can actually sit an adult (vs the Tahoe, where your knees are in your face). Gas mileage not to bad, average 16.5 on highway trips. Anti-skid control seems to kick in too easily on snowy days. Towing capacity was not an issue for me, might be for others. All in all very happy and would recommend it to others.

I have owned my 2002 sequoia now for 4 years and have only replaced tires. It is an amazing vehicle. When my husband and I were looking, a big issue with us is comfort. We are both tall and have small children and didnt want them kicking us every time drove in it. Unfortunately at this time my kids are getting a little big and we are looking to down size. But if you are looking for a reliable roomy SUV you cant go wrong with this sequoia.

  • Take the Whole Family for a Ride - 2002 Toyota Sequoia

Previous owner of a 95 Isuzu Rodeo from 95 to 98, back to a car, back to a real SUV. My Toyota Sequoia seats all of my shopping buddies and accomodates the family on trips to the South with comfort. Its ride is oh so smoooooth! Mileage isnt great, but I knew that prior to purchase. Purchased 12/2001, drove from Chicago to Atlanta New Years weekend. No drama, no backaches or body aches.
