This Year's Model Updates:

The Sequoia is virtually unchanged for 2002. SR5 models have two additional stand-alone options this year: keyless remote and front foglamps.

Pros:
  • Ultra-refined drivetrain, surprisingly agile handling, versatile and comfortable interior, impeccable build quality.
Cons:
  • Non-descript styling, comparably low towing capacity.

I bought my Sequoia Limited 4x4 because I wanted a roomier and more powerful option to the Toyota 4-Runner. This full size SUV provides every comfort that includes heated seats, dual climate controls, and even power collapsible side mirrors for those tight spots. I love the way the back 2 rows of seats tumble, collapse and can be removed which has allowed us great options for camping and hauling. The Sequoia is very quick and allows us the power we need to pull a boat. I am very pleased !!

This vehicle is one of the best cars I have ever owned. The fuel economy was a surprise to me. I was expecting it to consume a lot of gas but surprisingly it doesnt. Drives very smooth and has good acceleration for a big SUV.

Bought 2002 Jade Green Ltd. 4x4 two weeks ago. I am reasonably satisfied with the vehicle (since I did a lot of research before hand and there have been few surprises), but I would have to say that the quality of the interior leather, carpeting and plastics have a more "industrial" quality than what I have come to expect from Toyota. (this is my 7th) It is quiet for a vehicle of this size, has very little wind noise at cruising speed, feels stable on the road (except when encountering strong wind) and is very roomy inside.

Excellent vehicle. The safety features on the Limited cannot compare to its competition. Tether Strap hooks in 5 seating positions, LATCH car seat equipped and side-impact airbags for front seat passengers. I cant say one negative thing about this SUV. I will buy another one when its time to give this one up.

  • The Best SUV - 2002 Toyota Sequoia

Our Sequoia is everything we could have wished for. It does excellent in the snowy winters of Michigan and through all the ice and slush. Toyota could have put a bit more power into it but all else surpasses that small issue. The third row seat can even seat 3 adults with comfort. This is by far better than a Suburban or Yukon XL Denali. I love this car and I know it will last me 10 years, thanks Toyota.

  • THEE best SUV out there - 2002 Toyota Sequoia

This SUV is all out. It can do anything you want it to. If you are a slow driver it can go slow, if your a fast driver, it goes faster than you can handle. It has the most room in the back row. Dont you see how after this car came out, all the other fullsize SUVs and midsize SUVs came out with the third row? I dont know but I lov this car and it is thee bomb.

I absolutely love everything about the Sequoia except the fuel economy. It rides better than my E-320 Mercedes and I just love its plush leather seats and quiet interior. Its so roomy that even the third row occupant dont feel like third class citizens.
