Good! - 2007 Toyota RAV4
By love it - June 6 - 8:13 amI love our RAV4. We were torn between the CRV (because it doesnt have the ugly rear tire) but the CRV has no V6 option and was way too slow. The interior of the RAV4 is much nicer. Not getting as good MPG as expected 21-24 MPG.

Be careful with the spare tire cover - 2007 Toyota RAV4
By TS3787 - May 21 - 11:26 pmWe got our RAV4 in 7/2007 and since then we havent have any problem at all. There are two areas where the 2007 design failed: 1) The rear bumper upper part is too exposed to scratches during loading/unloading. 3) At winter ice forms between the spare tire and the rear bumper. That ice eventually tends to damage the rear bumper. 2) the spare tire cover was removed during a car wash and totally ruined. Someone mentioned that TOYOTA said only they know of one case... that is simply not true, it is pretty common and a big design flaw. After 2007 they changed the design of the car cover.

More than I expected - 2007 Toyota RAV4
By redj88 - May 13 - 2:46 pmThe V6 is blast, fast and responsive. MPG on first five tanks, 22.5, 23.5, 22.0, 23.0 and 24.5. The 24.5 was a full tank at 50-80 mph, the others where a mix of city and hwy. Interior is roomy, well put together, and very comfortable. Heated leather seats are very nice, moonroof, 9 spkr JBL, bluetooth, mp3, all add to the very nice driving experience. Although the brakes are competent, they feel soft when braking from high speeds. Not enough to worry about them working or not. If you test drive one of these, open the two rear passenger windows at freeway speeds. It gets loud, a reason why you should consider getting the moonroof as I did. All in all, well worth the money spent.

My Favorite - 2007 Toyota RAV4
By Bird - April 5 - 2:03 pmMy 2007 Toyota RAV4 (6 cyl) continues to amaze me. This my third Japanese vehicle and will probably exceed my expectations in terms of reliability. Toyotas do not break - no expensive repair bills, no frustration. The 2007 RAV4 is destined to be a favorite for decades to come.

Dispointed - 2007 Toyota RAV4
By Al - March 21 - 10:16 amI was heavily influenced by the favorate reviews. After purchasing I was dispointed for two major reasons. The car looks fine when stands alone but appears so tiny when parked next to most other vehicles. Gas mileage is more like 20 rather than 28 even with 95% high way driving. That was one major reason I bought this vehicle. I would go exchange for something else if there were such a thing as exchanging a new car, like what you do in a supermarket.

rav 4 2wd 2.4 engine - 2007 Toyota RAV4
By jimbo - March 1 - 5:36 amExcellent build, peppy, fun to drive, roomy, excellent safety features. It replaced an 04 Matrix, and is a much more substantial car, though has fewer standard features. Gas mileage is not up to expectations. 20 mpg around town, not much better on highway.

Glad to have chosen the RAV4 - 2007 Toyota RAV4
By alwNewYork - February 22 - 10:43 amThis is the first car for my wife and me. We looked long and hard at the Honda CRV, but kept coming back to the RAV4. The RAV had the 3rd row option and a V6 engine. Were extremely happy with our choice. The RAV4 is very responsive and very very fun to drive. The 3rd row could be bigger.

Wonderful Car For Money! - 2007 Toyota RAV4
By Salt Lake City - February 12 - 7:00 amI purchased my Rav4 in August of this year. It is comfortable, fun to drive, and very stable on the road. The sound system is excellent -- especially for classical music! It has wonderful cargo space in the back, and the side-opening back door is so easy for senior citizens to use. I plan to drive this car for a very long time!

Excellent Compromise - 2007 Toyota RAV4
By Bill W - February 9 - 2:23 pmToyota got it pretty much right with this little SUV. It has one of the best power trains ever put into a vehicle. We dont baby it, and at 76 mph we get an honest 26 mpg. Stunning. Good use of interior space with spare outside the car, but the cover for said spare does not like car washes: it is easily pried loose by spinning car washers, then falls off and gets scratched or damaged. Still hate Toyotas unwillingness to sell me cars the way I want them optioned. We had ZERO choice of options as sport models destined for our 5-state region all came equipped the same way. Toyota made a BIG mistake with the front seat geometry: They need more rear travel and the rear needs to be lower.

Everglade Metallic RAV4 - 2007 Toyota RAV4
By crue - February 6 - 10:33 pmI upgraded from a well-loved Matrix, mainly because I needed the extra space for dogs and teenage nieces/nephews. Ive only had the car 2 weeks but so far it is wonderful! Aside from mpg, it definitely is living up to expectations! The vehicle stability control makes it more controllable in a crosswind than my Matrix.
