Pros:

I have owned this vehicle 4 weeks and have it has been in the service department half that time and it still there

  • Cute and Sporty - 2007 Toyota RAV4

I test drove the Honda CR-V, Subaru Forester, Subaru Outback, Saturn Vue, and the Hyundai Tucson. I decided on the RAV because of Toyota reliability and the fact that its so cute! I have the light blue metallic. Sharp! I am coming from driving a Ford Explorer for 10 years, and loved it. It had all the bells and whistles, but fuel economy prevailed and I finally traded it in with 125,000 miles on it. The RAV is fun to drive and my big teenage boys say the back seat is roomier and more comfy than the Explorer. Love the MP3 hookup and the rear door doesnt bother me. I really wish the driver seat had more adjustment features. We are getting about 23 mpg. Not bad. Have to break it in more.

  • Just okay - 2007 Toyota RAV4

This car is great to look at, but the ride is very truck-ish. I used to drive a 1999 Sienna mini-van, which I loved. I thought this would be just as good. This car has more road noise and the seats are way to firm. The backseats are right next to the rear wheelwell and quite noisy on a rainy day. This vehicle could use some "plushness". I have had this car for 6 months and am trading it in for a 2007 Sienna (not financially prudent). The interior of my moms 2004 Highlander is much nicer.

  • I have been converted - 2007 Toyota RAV4

My wife and I had been test driving cars for months. The entire time I was shying away from Toyota becase of thier vanilla reputation. You know reliable but kind of bland. Once I drove the V6 4wd sport, WOW! I count myself as one of the converted. You can feel each and every one of the 269 horses. The suspension on the sport model is stiff and sporty but comfortable. Fit and finish is very solid. We drove the competition, Mazda CX-7 and Honda CR-V. I liked both but neither combined the functionality and fun factor better than the RAV4. Now that I have now driven this vehicle in varying Wisconsin weather conditions and I havent driven anything more stable in poor road conditions either.

  • Best bang for the buck - 2007 Toyota RAV4

I had an Audi A3 AWD V6, which was too small for what I wanted so I traded it in for a RAV4 V6 4WD. Although these two vehicles are in different classes, the RAV4 is just as quick and fast as the A3, but offers more room for cargo and passengers. You cant beat the room that the RAV offers and you certainly cant beat the price. Although I do miss the heated seats on the A3, I dont miss anything else.

  • Overall Im happy with it - 2007 Toyota RAV4

This is my first Toyota, after many great reviews on them from friends, and so far so good. The ride of the car is a lot smoother than its competitors (Honda CR-V and Jeep). The fuel economy is great, and was a big factor for me. I dont think its a really sexy car, but for the price point its a great combination of attractive, reliable, safe and good on fuel considering how spacious. I do think the drivers seat is a little hard, but not too bad.

  • Great except for one thing! - 2007 Toyota RAV4

This is actually my wifes car. I drive it about once or twice a week. The car now has 55K miles and the problems, or complaints that I want to mention are the lack of power when the AC is on, and the knocking that comes from the steering column linkage. The power is expected because its a 4 cylinder. The linkage problem is a flaw that has received a technical notice, but no recall. Very frustrating that Toyota wont recall this and fix a potentially dangerous problem. Otherwise, a very good car and excellent for your wife to use for work or kid hauling.

  • Great car - 2007 Toyota RAV4

Bought Base V6 AWD on 11/4/06. Driving every day on Route 17 (who lives in NJ knows what does it mean) - pretty much city driving. Today filled 1st time. Exactly 21 mph - first time see the same number as on sticker (usually EPA number is 20-25% better then reality). Great ride, acceleration, suspension, standard radio sound quality and reception. Not much blind zones. All controls are so easy you dont need to read a manual. Seats are very supportive. Turning circle is excellent.

  • Fun to drive - 2007 Toyota RAV4

  • RAV4 = Rave Reviews - 2007 Toyota RAV4

Everything about this vehicle fits me. I have had all brand-new vehicles in the past. I have owned a 97 Chev Cavalier (too little and poor quality sold it after 32k miles), then moved to a 99 GrandPrix GTP (loved it and sold it at 130k miles), then I bought a 05 Acura RSX (excellent quality, still that sporty feel that I like but with better gas mileage then the GrandPrix, engine was sorta weak however), Although I was not in need of a new vehicle I decided that I needed a small SUV (something I could grow with). I wanted to be able to carry camping gear, my bike and a few friends and be comfortable. I frowned at the thought of buying into something under powered and lacked the sporty feel.
