Front-seat side airbags and two-row side curtain airbags are standard on every 2007 Toyota RAV4. Additionally, the optional JBL audio system now comes with steering-wheel-mounted controls and Bluetooth connectivity.

Pros:
  • Impressive power and economy from optional V6, balanced ride and handling, roomy second row, low cargo bay floor, tight construction.
Cons:
  • Interior has budget feel, cockpit a tight fit for tall drivers, side-hinged rear gate impedes curbside loading.

Fast little crossover with loads of power. Sport handling is excellent with firm ride and tire grip. Good amount of storage and great flip seats. Perfect for us and our dogs.

  • Fun driving this powerful monster... - 2007 Toyota RAV4

I am still driving this 07 RAV4 V6 2WD. Have no problems except the stereo needed to be replaced once due to manufacturing defect. This is a sweet buy for a 3.5L engine and its HP. I wish the braking system was a little better given the cars engine power, but not of big concern. I love it every time I jump in for a drive. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for power and reliability in affordable price. Agree, looks could have been made a little better, hope Toyota comes up with new looks for this powerful monster in future.

I have had my car for more than four months yet I get the same feelings I had initially when I first test drove it. It is a comfortable and smooth ride. I have no regrets and look forward to a long and rich driving experience.

  • Poor Toyota quality and service - 2007 Toyota RAV4

I experienced a windshield tick soon as I purchased the vehicle. Toyota service attempted a fix and it got worse. The tick was intermittent and after several trips to the dealer, and test drives, the dealer resealed the windscreen. The problem resurfaced recently. The dealers are unable to diagnose and fix it. My 36,000 mile warranty is expiring. There is also a rattle around the dash on the passenger side. Toyota is unable to diagnose that problem as well. I occasionally hear other noises and vibrations as well in the interior from the sun roof area and around the passenger door. Toyota replaced defective sun visors, and the glove compartments. The radio display mysteriously would go blank.

  • Wonderful Mid-Size SUV - 2007 Toyota RAV4

The initial driving experience of the sport model had a very hard drive but the base model drives like a dream even on pot holed streets where it is driven every day. The driving ease fully loaded and with great visibility make this not so big SUV just fun.

  • Almost a Lexus! - 2007 Toyota RAV4

I researched the 2007 RAV4, the Honda CR-V, and the Mazda CX7 before selecting the RAV4. The ride is very comfortable. Steering is precise and effortless, although being FWD, theres always a slight tendency for oversteer. Still, its far less than the 2002 Mazda Tribute it replaced. Wind/road noise is nicely muted, even with the sunroof in tilt-up mode. Fully open, and with no deflector, its still not so loud as to bother me. The controls and gauges are easy to reach and see. The daytime running lights...a $40 option...are a joy. Fit and finish are generally very good to excellent; nothing feels "cheap". I got a "Champagne" colored vehicle with the ersatz wood grain trim; it looks great.

  • Very good MiniSUV - 2007 Toyota RAV4

I love driving my Limited RAV4 6 cyl 4x4. It has very good acceleration. The brakes could be better as it should stop quicker than it does. It rides smooth for an SUV. It is very reliable. After driving this fun miniSUV on long trips for 3 years, it only gave me a problem once. The dealer had to replace the steering box after off road trips and it started making a soft thunking sound when the wheel is turned all the way to the left (but it was still driving well). Warranty replacement of course. I would buy another RAV4 after this one gets to be too old.

  • V6 Base AWD - 2007 Toyota RAV4

I compared the RAV4 vs CRV and eventually got the RAV4. The RAV4s interior feels cheap - I like the CRV interior better and the CRVs top mounted rear door make more sense. But the RAV4 won me over the CRV with the V6, handling and the interior cargo space. CRV only has 52 inches while RAV4 flow flat back seat gave me 70 inches. The RAV4 has more room and is more comfortable.

  • Quick Get-away - 2007 Toyota RAV4

Great Car, very good performance and acceleration.

  • Mileage is way overstated - 2007 Toyota RAV4
    By -

The V6 mpg EPA rating is way overstated - beware. I use 91 octane and still get about 22mpg on the highway (65mph), 17 city if Im lucky. I drive conservatively. I get about 300 miles per tank, about 50 miles less per tank than the 2 year old ford explorer I traded in on (sure the Explorer had a bigger tank but still. All told, Id wish I kept the Explorer. I bought the RAV4 based on the 22/28 mileage statement which is just wrong - very wrong. I feel cheated. Ive appealed to Toyota several times with incident reports without even the courtesy of a reply. Wish I could return it also as its a gas hog for a new generation vehicle.
