This Year's Model Updates:

Front-seat side airbags and two-row side curtain airbags are standard on every 2007 Toyota RAV4. Additionally, the optional JBL audio system now comes with steering-wheel-mounted controls and Bluetooth connectivity.

Pros:
  • Impressive power and economy from optional V6, balanced ride and handling, roomy second row, low cargo bay floor, tight construction.
Cons:
  • Interior has budget feel, cockpit a tight fit for tall drivers, side-hinged rear gate impedes curbside loading.

Good power in 4CYL, good fuel economy for SUV, great style. Ive had this SUV for a month, and it is awesome. It drives like a car. It has the interior space of an SUV, but is still small overall. Ive received tons of compliments on it. I have driven my 4WD on ice, and it performs remarkably.

I love everything about my RAV4 I bought it in Feb. I find myself driving for no reason these days just to be in my car. I got the barcellonic red so when I am out I notice people looking at my RAV. It is also roomy and comfy my backseats are even bigger then that of a friends grand cherokee.

Very good manuverability, peppy, ride is very smooth, I get caught in Downtown Buffalo city traffic every morning with about 10 miles of highway miles and I consistantly get 23-25mpg. I paid $24000 and it was a GREAT BUY!!! I am completley satisfied with my purchase

The V6 RAV4 is outrageous. Power is addictive. Size is perfect. Safety features of a Lexus. Good mileage for an SUV 24+.

  • Pleasant, Reliable SUV - 2007 Toyota RAV4

Tried out a Honda CR-V before purchasing this one, but didnt care for the interior (especially the door handles), and the RAV-4 got better mileage. Didnt go with all the options, although I couldnt find one without tinted windows, luggage cover, and 6-disc CD player; I refused to buy it and pay for all those unnecessary items.

  • Love it for the Most Part - 2007 Toyota RAV4

I have owned my car for over a year now. Overall, I like it a lot. I had to have an SUV, but it is just too large for me. Anyhow, I love the pick up and speed. It is excellent in the rain - absolutely sticks to the ground! Also, very good in snow, unless you try and go through the UP of MI - forget it - it felt like the car went into rear wheel drive mode. Scary, but for every day IL driving with some snow, it is fine. I hate the amber lights. With sunglasses on, I cannot read the console. I will never get a car with amber lights again.

  • Excessive Oil Consumption - 2007 Toyota RAV4
    By -

My 2007 RAV4 ran dry on oil at 96,000 miles. Always maintained in a reasonable manner. Dealer and manufacturer refused to help offset repair cost that included replacing the 2.4 AZ-FE engine. There is a technical service bulletin addressing the design flaw of the 2AZ-FE engine, specifically related to the piston and ring assembly (TSB-0094-11). Reall list for this RAV4 includes intermediate shaft in steering column, Faulty air bag sensor, Rear lower control arm failure, unexpected acceleration and power widow switch fire hazzard to name a few. This list doesnt include the many TSBs affecting quality, namely the excesive oil consumption bulletin.

  • Very Happy with RAV4 - 2007 Toyota RAV4

I needed more room than my 4 door sedan provided, but I didnt want a large gas sucking SUV. The RAV4 is perfect for my familys needs (we already have a minivan). The ride is very nice, reasonably quiet, and it holds the road well. The power of the 3.5 liter V6 is great, and Ive been averaging 23.5 mpg in mixed driving over the 3000 miles Ive driven the car. It seems to get between 25 and 28 mpg on the highway and between 17 and 19 around town. The third seat fits our 5 year old well, and since its a 50-50 split, the dog can sit next to him in the back while the 2-year-old twins are quite happy in the middle row. Highly recommend! Great car!

I love my RAV4. Comfortable to drive on long trips, loads of room, 45,000 miles and no problems. This is my 2nd RAV4. First one was a 1999,loved it too. When it came time for a new vehicle, I got the new car bug, couldnt wait to buy the newer model, 2007, much quieter ride and larger. Plenty of room for the kids.
