This is my third 4runner and it is the best all around performer. Love to outrun and infinity.

Love my 4Runner. Hate the gas mileage. Have to say though, I put a lot of miles on a vehicle and this has been, hands down, the absolute easiest to maintain. I have almost 60,000 miles on it and have not yet had to have the brakes replaced - you cant get that with a Honda. My only complaint is the terrible smell when the rear window is even cracked open - Toyota has attempted to correct this problem, but whatever they did only corrected the problem for a week or so.

Just bought my 4Runner, but love it. This SUV drives so much better than the cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Nissan Pathfinder that I have owned previously

  • 04 4runner, had a h1 hummer - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

This car is unbelievable, i live the smooth ride plus the DAC downhill assit control works great. I like the way the 4 wheel drive works and the layout of the dash. I had a HUMMER h1 and my new 4runner is much more reliable and in all aspects of my driving the 4runner is a better car. Lacking some offroad ability the HUMMER could do, but HAS done everything I put it up too. So even then I was really suprised. GREAT SUV!!

  • Great, but beware of sulfur smell - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

Fun to drive. Enough power (quick response) to feel confortable passing cars in a bussy road; but you pay in gas. Good turning ratio for the size of the vehicle. Nice look inside and out.

4Runner/SportV8/SunRoof/Alarm/RearSpoil er/CarpetCargoMat/DayTimeLights:$32000 I am a happy owner of a brand spanking new Metallic Silver 4Runner Sport V8. Initially interested in the V6, but the Consumer Reports remark about poor reliability in the V6 kept me away from it. The V8 rides very smooth Also, this is a GREAT looking truck! Even if I had $10 million in the bank I would still buy a 4Runner. Yeah, I do not like the X5 or Lexus or Acura or any other SUV Import that touts itself as Luxury. Most of them look like spiffed up mini-vans, hybrids or plain Jane SUVs. I love my 4Runner!

  • Quality SUV - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

Feels and drives like a tough rugged vehicle that could handle most off road conditions yet on the paved roads is smooth driving, handles great and surefooted. Plenty of V6 power, smooth powertrain, and excellent brakes. This SUV gives one the feeling of power, comfort, and safety. Interior is great, seats very comfortable. Improvement areas: Remote key fob should be able to raise rear window as well as lower it, needs audio controls on the steering wheel. Rear door is difficult (heavy) to close. Better placement of gas tank filler door and hood release latches. No ashtray or lighter.

  • If you are taller than 6 feet, beware! - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

After only 1 week & 400 miles I am ready to trade! I am 6 feet tall & with the sunroof my head was rubbing the roof liner & my line of sight was at the top of the windshield. At that position you cant see the odometer, the turn signal flashers nor the fuel gauge without the steering wheel tilted up in high position. The side lateral supports were too narrow, digging into my side/kidneys. Minus the above, I am sure its an excellent SUV otherwise: plenty of power, smooth and quiet on the highway. Its a solid good-looking SUV, so be more careful upon your test drive than I was.

My partner and I purchased this 4 Runner as a replacement to our 2004 Highlander. It is a great SUV and is much more substantial that the Highlander. We travel to Aspen often and it charges up Vail Pass without hesitation. What a great car!

Great vehicle. Plenty of space for glof clubs, bike, and kids. Rugged build, and classy styling. Music system could have been higher grade, but thats only downside. Overall a superb vehicle.
