My first drive in this great SUV was a 1,300 mile trek across Oregon, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming backroads. The V-8 delivers amazing pick-up. Handling a bit soft but acceptable. This is my 28th car in 34 years and is #2 on my list of best ever - the 1969 Camaro Z/28 is still #1.

I am extremely pleased with my new 4Runner! The ride is amazingly smooth, acceleration is quick. I dont feel like Im in a truck at all. It drives and rides like a car. The space is great. The double-decker cargo system is very useful. I love the standard running boards. There are a lot of storage compartments, which is always nice. I love the back-up mirrors! I have always been a 4Runner fan, but the newest model is even better! There is more room on the interior. Older models were nice too, but always felt a little too cramped in the front seats. This new model is very nice and spacious.

I bought my 4Runner used, with 74,000 miles on it in Feb. 2013. I was not concerned about the mileage, as the engines on these SUVs only begin to break in about about 100,000 miles. The vehicle is heavy, and feels as durable and as robust as a tank...and I used to be a M-1 Abrams tank commander, so I know toughness when I see it! :o) As the truck sports a "mild mannered" 4.7L V-8, the engine is powerful and provides great acceleration. Love the sound of the engine too! The interior of the vehicle is laid out well, and has great ergonomics, which make it comfortable to drive long distance. This is the best vehicle that I have ever owned...smart vehicle purchase indeed!

This car was made with me in mind, in my opinion. Its sport style but elegant look is perfectly balanced.

  • This truck rocks - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

I love this truck. I wanted a sporty car but really needed a truck. The 4runner (w/V8) has incredible acceleration and handles like a car. I use it frequently to take clients out and it has plenty of room for 4 adults (I owned a 2000 4runner for 4 motnhs and got rid of it because it was too small and too underpowered.)

I love my new 4Runner and so does my husband. We like the ability to carry three grown adults in the 2nd row and cargo in comfort. It has come in handy on several occassions and every thing works as promised. I highly recommend the 4Runner over any other truck-based SUV.

I bought my 04 4Runner in February 2007 with 24k miles. It had 275k now. Basic maintenance its all Ive done it has never giving me any problems. From Virginia to Miami Florida over 30 times with no problems sometimes pulling two motorcycles in a 5x8 trailer. I love my 4Runner.

Was always a chevy person. We will buy an 05 when they come out. Found out to be one of the more safer vehicles we have ever owned.Had the unfortunate luck of totaling out the vehicle in extremely bad weather.Vehicle was the reason no one was killed.Insurance company paid every bit of it off.

  • Exceeded my expectations - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

I bought my 4Runner 2500 miles ago and have been very pleased. The vehicle is very solid, quiet, and comfortable. The V6 has plenty of power and delivers it quite smoothly. A lot of people complain about gas milage, but for a two ton+ vehicle with good acceleration, I dont think 17-18mpg is bad. There are plenty of storage compartments and the interior seems intelligently laid out. The stock stereo sounds good, climate control works well and the vehicle is very impressive overall.
