  • True to its reputation! - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

I have owned several toyotas in my life and have always regretted selling them. One of my major disappointments was getting rid of my 1989 Toyota 4Runner as it was truly a work horse with great fuel efficiency. The 4 cyclinder engine pulled my boat and got me out of soft sand countless times. Unfortunately, I thought that having a family would mean that I wouldnt need this type of vehicle - wrong! I purchased a 2004 Toyota 4Runner V6 Sports Edition and have been amazed with its smooth ride. It is definitely much better than my previous love - 89 Toyota 4Runner. In two short years I have put over 66,000 miles and have yet to hear the brakes squeak. Gas mileage is 20 mpg!

  • I Love my 4Runner! - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

First of all, this is the first Japanese automobile that I have ever owned. That said, I will never buy American again! I wish I could give a balanced review giving both the good and the bad; but, I honestly have nothing bad to say about my 4Runner. Great feul effeciency, responsive ride, comfortable interior, quick acceleration, awsome sound system, etc... So far so GREAT! -- GOODBYE FORD --

  • Worst decision - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

This purchase was the poorest vehicle purchase Ive ever made. I brought this truck 6 months ago and I put more 3000 in repairs...Everything from sticking calibers to electically issues. The truck rattles more than a semi truck, would be a quiet ride if there were not raddles everywhere in the truck. I paid extremely amount of money for this compared to SUVs of the same nature, huge waste of money. Im honestly considering trading this horribly designed truck back in.

  • Good Solid Vehicle - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

This was our familys third Toyota and we are pleased with the brand. We bought the V-8 in order to pull our pontoon boat. It is a good solid vehicle that offers a smooth ride. I especially like the remote rear window. I would have liked a third row seat but didnt like the fold-up configuration. I expected worse than average gas mileage since I owned an SUV before this one. However, I have yet to get even the 15mph listed on the sticker for city driving.

  • What an improvement! - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

Traded in a 2002 Yukon Denali. Everything about this 4Runner is an improvement. Especially handling, comfort and driveability. It will do everything the Denali would do better and will also go off road with authority. Gave up power driver seat only for $15,000 less. Very impressed so far.

  • Im in love - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

As soon as I saw the pics of the 4th generation 4Runner when it first came out, I knew that was the vehicle for me. Just its appearance was enough. Ive always been a Toyota fan, but thought the 4R was underpowered & overpriced in the past. Not anymore. WOW this truck is amazing. The looks, the power, the features, the quality. Im in love with my black beauty.

Purchased RW drive SR5 09/03 and have driven approx. 17000. This is an exceptionally tight vehicle. Never as much as a slight rattle over very rough roads. Very stylish desing. A lot of second looks from other drivers.

  • Great SUV - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
    By -

When I decided to buy a new SUV in 2004 I did my homework. The first thing I looked at was the depreciation of the first five years I owned it. I didnt have to look any further. Aside from its outstanding dependability and manufacturing quality, the 4Runner depreciates about $7000 less than any domestic SUV comparably priced. After owning mine for nearly three years I can see why they sell so well. And two weeks after I bought it I was asked to sell it. No way!!

  • quality is still out there - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

total quality of vehicle is great-have owned other suv,s but none compare to this one

  • Great vehicle - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

This is our third 4Runner. Aside from the unavailabity of a standard transmission, I have no complaints with this vehicle. It is larger and more powerful than previous models and we get the same gas mileage
