  • Almost perfect! - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

After weeks of research, and several test-drives, I found the 4Runner to be the best overall vehicle for my budget. This truck kicks serious butt and the price is very reasonable. Its great to look at, in and out, and the engine performance is amazing. The only drawback is the gas mileage! Beware!!

  • The Best Yet! - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

Ive had one of each of the four generations of 4Runner and this is the best yet. So far it had exceeded the other three in every category except poddibly exterior style. For my use, it does everything very well.

Very attractive in titanium metallic, beautifull interior (stone), lots of standard feature, smooth transmission, nice acceleration, sharp turn. EBD is excellent. Third Row seat is little conjusted but gr8 for kids. leaves no cargo space but u can always use roof rack. i bough mine with roof rack, third row weat, leather steering wheel and floor mats. Every thing else u need is standard. Automatic climate control is bit noisy but cool at low setting. The orange interior illumination at night is awesome. Take this vehicle on road and i bet ppl will look behind for it.

I was looking for a used 4runner that was in my budget 15k to 17k. Within 2 weeks I found a Metallic Titanium with Weld rims, front windshield deflector on the hood, Mean Extras! Exterior in top condition. Interior spotless, I was very impressed with all the accessories with the controls fully loaded. The ride is awesome, acceleration very powerful. V6 engine daily maintained by first owner, super clean!!! 80,000 miles, a little concerned but, every service was documented on file. So I couldnt pass up this deal or STEAL!!! AWESOME !!!

I like my 4runner a lot. I have had it for 2 months now. It has a soft plush ride and is a little bit sloppy at times. The dials look stupid on the dash. Overall the vehicle is very solid and has a nice interior. The Synthesis JBL sound system is not very good and the fuel economy is a little on the low side. I plan on getting a high performance air filter and a cat back exhaust. But that is down the road.

I have enjoyed my 4Runner and have found the reliability to be outstanding. It handles like a dream off-road. I race up and down deep sand beaches with no problem. Its light and quick (V6). The features and interior are nicer than your typical truck plus no rattles. Interior room is better than I expected. However, Im 63 200 pounds and the seat + headroom is less than desirable. Fortunately, I have a sunroof, otherwise I wouldnt fit. The seats are narrow as well. If you lean the seat back like the kids do, you will have no issues with head room. One other thing, the computer states a MPG of 25 on the highway and 19 in town. Not true! Its more like 20/17.

I bought my 4runner Sport V8 new in Feb of 04. 8 years and 135K miles later its time to find a new home for it. It has been the most reliable car Ive ever owned in 37 years of driving. Gas mileage is what I expected at about 16/mi overall. I used it to pull a 5K # boat and trailer and never missed beat. Even pulled great through the hills of NH and VT. Ive done all of my own maintenance and found it to be very easy to work on. It still looks and drives great. Cloth interior shows no signs of wear. Only significant problem I had was with the sunroof while it was still under warrantee. Took 3 trips to the dealer and they finally replaced the whole thing.
