This Year's Model Updates:

As the Impreza was redesigned just last year, not much changes for 2003. Convenience has been improved; keyless entry is now standard equipment on the 2.5 RS, TS Sport Wagon and Outback Sport. For the WRX, Subaru will offer a standard rear spoiler on the sedan (though you can still get the car without, if you want) and Sonic Yellow is available as an exclusive WRX color.

Pros:
  • A stout 227 horsepower in the WRX, all-wheel-drive grip, a variety of sedans and wagons to choose from.
Cons:
  • Often pricey when compared to its competition.

  • bang for the buck!!! - 2003 Subaru Impreza

this car will get the most bang for the buck.at the price of $25000 you will not find any other car out there that can come close.0-60 mph 5.6 secs and you can drive it in snow when most sports cars can not move an inch.thanks to the all wheel drive rain, snow, gravel and mud are no problem.once you hit 3000rpm get ready to be pushed back in your seat and watch the speedometer climb fast. to sum this car up go get one and you will not be dissapointed!

The most practical, fun and fast car you can buy for under $25,000! A true all-season, all-condition fast and fun car. With performance tires it can handle with the best and with snow tires winters are a breeze. Not perfect, but you get more than you should for the money.

I live in New Jersey were the winters are rough.Snow,Rain, and ice are no match for this car.I love the roomey interior also.my friend is 68" and he has no problem getting into or out of the car.The mostimpressive thing about the car to me isthe performance!I love to drive fast and i was a bit worried at first if i would be able to keep up with people at the race track unless i modified the car.Let me tell you i have had no problem keeping up.the only car that i have racer and been beaten by was a corvette Z06 and a Viper Gts.This is the car to have if you want to shut up all those Civic owners out there.

I bought this car brand new. It has been a rocket of a car despite the turbo lag at low rpms. Very responsive and nimble for a wagon. This was the 2nd gen WRX. Reliable except for some problems. There is strut knocking in the rear, disc/brakes problems (numerous brake replacements) not braking hard. Clutch smells when driving it hard. A bit cramped for tall people. No rear room for adults great space with seats folded down. Comparable to an SUV. Excessive wind noise and engine noise. Fogs up easy on the windows. Lots of fan noise when on high but not much output to help defog.

Horsepower is more than enough to carry this car, which is barely bigger than my old civic. This thing moves better than most "real" sports cars. Front seats are comfy, they hug and provide support. Handling is great, I can take corners without breaking, not suggested though.

This car flat out flies. There is not another car on the market that produces this much fun for the price. Step up to a Mustang GT and teach him a lesson. Some say the EVO destroys this car but I bought my 2003 WRX for $23,700 out the door. Id like to see you buy an EVO for under $30,000. This can be sensible if you want but can crush most other cars when want also.

great car! really the only choice for an AWD wagon under $25K -- which makes the 227hp/turbo almost a freebie... FYI mainj, the horn-alarm can be easily turned off -- read your brouchure or call your dealer

  • it kicks - 2003 Subaru Impreza

Ive had it for about a month and a half now and still not used to its power. Once the turbo kicks, youll be glad the seat back is nice and comfortable. And the bucket seats are needed through insane turns. only had a couple problems. There was a national shortage, so it took several weeks to recieve a spoiler. also i got the lojack/alarm combo option and had problems with alarm from day one. in cold weather didnt want to activate or deative. Dealer didnt want anything to do with repair. Took 2 visits from lojack to finally get it fixed. supposidly the lojack alarm was the same as subarus, so beware. otherwise the car is perfect.
