It is one of the best cars I have driven, under $40,000. I have driven the Chrysler 300M, Nissan Maxima 2004, and the Mazda 6s it is fun to drive and reliable.

  • Oil Leaks Wont go away - 2003 Mazda Mazda6

I love the way the car looks and handles, but This is my third trip back to the dealer with oil leaking problem. They had to drop my AT transmission to get to the rear main seal. They messed up the AT and power steering. After all that and about 3 weeks without a car, the dam thing still leaks. Im currently filing Lemon Law Papers. Anyone else have oil leaks?

The only thing I havent liked about this car-- is that for some reason it feels like there are bigger blind spots than in other cars Ive driven. But other than that I love it. Its fast, tight, quiet and sturdy feeling. Standard cd stereo sounds great.. definately comperable to a jetta or Passat-- but 10,000 cheaper

  • A FUN 4 Door at last - 2003 Mazda Mazda6

After driving the most popular American sedan for nearly 10 years (I had a Ford Taurus and a Mercury Sable), I decided that I needed a change. After driving no less that 15 different cars, I decided that the Mazda 6 was the car I wanted. Far more pep than most cars in its class, both American and foreign, it was the car that came out in front. I drove some Toyotas and some Hondas and they werent bad at all, but the Mazda 6 were nicer looking, inside and out and the Mazda feels like a better performer. The Mazda also has its trademark "engine growl" that adds to the excitement. The ride is tight; you really can feel the road so if you like a soft ride, this car isnt for you. Zoom zoom!

I like to drive the car, it handles great on Vermont mountain roads, is great on longer runs on the Interstate and has given me no trouble. Performance is good, plenty of power. Highly recommend one. I just wish they would offer an all wheel drive model.

  • Mazda 6 - Best bang for the buck - 2003 Mazda Mazda6

After spending hours on the internet, reading my favorite automotive magazines, and a couple of test drives, It was clear that the Mazda 6 (fully loaded) fit most of my requirements. Those being: performance over 200hp, good handling, stylish looks (external & internal), comfortable interior (leather), quality sound system (Bose), smooth transmission (automatic), and price. Now if price was not a factor I would have chosen the 2003 Infinity G35 coupe. A much more refined and sporty car, but for $15-$20K more and about 40- 60hp more it just wasnt worth paying the difference.

I traded in my 97 Bonneville. I was used to fast acceleration and was concerned that the 4 banger in the i would dissappoint me. I didnt drive wildly and wasnt concerned about great handling and tight cornering. Well, after one month, I now push the 6 hard into cornering and love the tight handling. I test drove the 6 cyl and went with the 4 cyl, and I dont regret it. I love the build quality and the thud it makes when you slam the doors shut hard. my dealers (Walser) no dicker sticker price was $1,000 less than Edmunds TMV price.

  • Every bit as good as a Passat, S60 - 2003 Mazda Mazda6
    By -

When I purchased this car, I was also looking at the VW Passat and the Volvo S60. I found the Mazda 6 to be every bit as good as the aforementioned cars without the price tag and overall cost of ownership. Ride quality and cabin noise exceed the Passat, interior ergonomics and fuel economy exceed the S60. In addition, every VW and Volvo dealership I visited did not leave a good taste in my mouth. All of these dealerships were completely non responsive to any questions and made me feel as though I was in the way. Get the Bose system upgrade.
