Overview & Reviews
For the 2003 Jeep Liberty, a new overhead console, based on that of the Grand Cherokee, includes a unique interface that allows passengers to program the operation of nine convenience and safety items to their own preference. Liberty owners can now personalize several features, including which doors unlock with the first press of the remote keyless entry unlock button, the miles driven between service intervals and the amount of time the headlamps remain on when exiting the vehicle. Finally, an available six-disc in-dash CD player replaces the cargo area mounted unit. Standard four-wheel disc brakes endow the Jeep with improved brake feel on-road, decreased stopping distances and reduced brake fade. Available electrochromic interior and driver-side rearview mirrors help reduce headlight glare from traffic at night, and standard sliding sun visors have been added, which serve to keep the sun out of your eyes by providing added windshield and side glass coverage.
- Extremely capable off-road, creative interior design, still a Jeep at heart.
- Thirsty at the gas pump, not as "carlike" as most of its competitors.

jeep liberty review - 2003 Jeep Liberty
By mnshilling@aol.com - November 22 - 2:00 amI bought this car when I found out I was to have my first child. It is a fun car and drive and an easy transition from a small compact car to an SUV. It did not feel like I was driving a truck. Interior is stylish and fun, head room is very spacious, and I like that is sits up high so you can see much more ahead of you while driving. The only two things I could complain about is the trunk size, which barely fits my large stroller, and the gas mileage. I would have to upgrade to a larger vehicle with a larger trunk if I ever plan on having another child just to fit the bigger stroller. But I love my jeep!!

By Joe Jerome - October 16 - 10:00 ami love my jeep! I had a honda for 10years! I wanted a suv that was affordable fun to drive, and not a wimpy 4cylinder! I decided to go with the jeep because it was just the right size for me! NOT HUGE NOT TOO SMALL!

Capable KJ - 2003 Jeep Liberty
By 1CoolKJ - October 16 - 10:00 amI have no regrets after purchasing my Liberty. I understand the vehicle is pretty heavy for its size, but come on... 17 mpg is horrible (90% of my driving is on the highway).

I love my Jeep. - 2003 Jeep Liberty
By A² - October 16 - 10:00 amIm a 70 year old woman, 53" tall, and this Jeep is the only SUV which doesnt feel too big or hard to get into and out of. My silver Jeep Liberty Ltd and two gorgeous Chrysler LeBaron convertibles have given me more fun to drive than any other of the innumerable vehicles Ive driven throughout the years. And I absolutely love the attention my Jeep receives from young people. Next, I think Ill get a red hat to make driving my Jeep even more fun!

2003 Liberty Rocks! - 2003 Jeep Liberty
By Liberty Lover - October 16 - 10:00 amOne word can sum up my feelings on the 2003 Jeep Liberty. AWESOME. Never thought I would buy a SUV until I gave the Liberty a test drive. I was a Grandprix person. Atleast until I bought my Jeep. Handles great. Very driver friendly. I cant wait until the winter so that I can drive it in the snow.
