Overview & Reviews
For the 2003 Jeep Liberty, a new overhead console, based on that of the Grand Cherokee, includes a unique interface that allows passengers to program the operation of nine convenience and safety items to their own preference. Liberty owners can now personalize several features, including which doors unlock with the first press of the remote keyless entry unlock button, the miles driven between service intervals and the amount of time the headlamps remain on when exiting the vehicle. Finally, an available six-disc in-dash CD player replaces the cargo area mounted unit. Standard four-wheel disc brakes endow the Jeep with improved brake feel on-road, decreased stopping distances and reduced brake fade. Available electrochromic interior and driver-side rearview mirrors help reduce headlight glare from traffic at night, and standard sliding sun visors have been added, which serve to keep the sun out of your eyes by providing added windshield and side glass coverage.
- Extremely capable off-road, creative interior design, still a Jeep at heart.
- Thirsty at the gas pump, not as "carlike" as most of its competitors.

Great car - 2003 Jeep Liberty
By dzeppfan77 - October 2 - 10:00 amI have liked the look of the Liberty since they came out. I waited for a year until the 03s arrived, then I drove one. I traded for a Liberty Limited and have been pleased with it. It has a very smooth highway ride for a 4X4 Jeep. It does great off the highway as well. Jeep is the reason why the U.S. won WWII according to President Eisenhower. Jeep has been around since the 1940s so they must be doing something right. Bottom line is great car for great price. Will take you just about anywhere offroad and does great on the highway.

Happy Owner - 2003 Jeep Liberty
By Bryan Johnston - September 26 - 10:00 amThis is my second Liberty, and only second North American vehicle that I have ever owned, and fun is the only way to describe what I have when I drive this vehicle. I am 64" and 270 lbs, and I have plenty of room. The styling is great in and out, and the vehicle has plenty of power. The only thing that I have problems with is the low gas mileage. Other than that, it is a great vehicle.

Ginas Jeep - 2003 Jeep Liberty
By Snoopi - September 26 - 10:00 amI was attracted to the Liberty because I liked the way it looked. Before I bought it, I drove many other small SUVs and found that I liked the way the Liberty felt when I drove it. I felt comfortable in the drivers seat.Even after driving it for over a year, I am still in love with my Jeep. My 14 year old is hoping I will pass it down to her when she turns 16. But only if her father will buy me a new one ...

I love my JEEP - 2003 Jeep Liberty
By sailorgirl - September 26 - 10:00 amAfter drving sports cars for years, I am enjoying the ride and comfort or my Jeep. The seats are comfortable and everyone love the chrome accents in the interior. Importantly, the power of the engine gives me a sense of safety and security and the height off the road allows for better visibility.

Dream Driving! - 2003 Jeep Liberty
By Debbie A. - September 26 - 10:00 amMy jeep is about the sharpest, "funnest" vehicle Ive ever owned! Its the perfect car. Mine came with an off-road package and I fell in love with it immediately. I had been looking for weeks at different SUVs, and this was a show stopper. I always get stares while Im driving! Its super during the winter, I never had a problem in our snowy (Ohio) roads last year. Ive had the car for 10 months and have had no mechanical problems or otherwise.
