For the 2003 Jeep Liberty, a new overhead console, based on that of the Grand Cherokee, includes a unique interface that allows passengers to program the operation of nine convenience and safety items to their own preference. Liberty owners can now personalize several features, including which doors unlock with the first press of the remote keyless entry unlock button, the miles driven between service intervals and the amount of time the headlamps remain on when exiting the vehicle. Finally, an available six-disc in-dash CD player replaces the cargo area mounted unit. Standard four-wheel disc brakes endow the Jeep with improved brake feel on-road, decreased stopping distances and reduced brake fade. Available electrochromic interior and driver-side rearview mirrors help reduce headlight glare from traffic at night, and standard sliding sun visors have been added, which serve to keep the sun out of your eyes by providing added windshield and side glass coverage.

SUV Like No Other - 2003 Jeep Liberty

It tows my boat easily through the mountains, handles the snow better than any other Ive experienced, and cruises the highway with the comfort of a sedan. The Liberty is the perfect compliment between the ruggedness of the Wrangler and the Luxury of the Grand Cherokee. After 13,000 miles in 7 months, I can honestly say I made the right decision in buying a Jeep Liberty!

White Hot 2003 Liberty Limited 4WD - 2003 Jeep Liberty
By lia d. - May 27 - 2:00 amIve had my Liberty Limited 4WD for three weeks now and I love it. Although the gas mileage is not the greatest, I hate having to get out of it. I was told that Jeeps had notoriously hard rides, but I cant say the same. The handling and ride have been very smooth. Overall, Jeep has made a very attractive vehichle both inside and out.

Not bad for a 4 cyl. - 2003 Jeep Liberty
By bigal - May 21 - 10:00 amI compared the liberty to the CRV, Rav4, and Sante Fe. I was originally going to buy the Sante Fe, but I had a very hard time finding it w/ options I wanted. The Liberty has a bit stiffer ride than the Hyundai, but that was improved once decreased tire air pressure. Has a few less features (like heated mirrors), but it is nice to know I will be able to find a dealer wherever I go. I dont think this is possible with the Hyundai. Much better headroom in front.

By sugar00101 - January 28 - 5:56 amGreat vehicle. Very easy to park, and I am bad at parking. Handles well. Very comfortable. Even after 12 hours of driving in one day, my back and neck was not sore like it would have been in previously vehicles owned. I have owned this Jeep for over 2 years now, and it has only been to the shop once for a battery change, and I put a lot of miles on vehicles. It is up to 90,000 and has a lot more in it. I would recommend this to anyone. Great get up and go, cold ac, I love the chrome accents, I wasnt 100% crazy about the body, but it grew on me quickly.

By tferguso - January 2 - 10:00 amThis was not my first choice. My wife convinced me that anything other then a JEEP, as a 4x4, is nothing more then a substitute. SHE WAS RIGHT. This is a Truck. For those of you that want to drive a TALL car with 4x4 capabilities, try a RAV4. The Liberty is VALUE for the money. You get a Liberated "feeling" driving it. Hard to explain until you experience the JEEP heritage in your hands.

On my birthday on our way to go eat we saw the renegades- after dinner about 9 oclock we went to check them out- that night we drove home in it- the next morning my husband asked if I liked it- I told him he could not get me out of it if he tried! I let him drive it a couple times a week- I love it!!! I have had it for almost 8 months and I love it!!!

The Car for All Seasons - 2003 Jeep Liberty

It is solid Jeep through and through and a major improvement in all respects over its Cherokee ancestor (Ive had three of those.) Handling and power, on-road and off, is exceptional, and with the Limited Edition G Package, it has all the luxury features that the most discriminating consumer could desire. Ive only had mine for three weeks, but I can say that Ive never had another vehicle that so effectively combines urban practicality, expressway performance, and go-anywhere off-road capability.

We looked at everything else before buying (Xterra, CR-V, Rav4,Forrester,Outlander, Escape, Tribute, XL-7) The Liberty was our choice because it has good space, good power and good looks. Havent had a single problem, the Jeep has been perfectly reliable (as it should be). We got a great deal on this car too (before any rebates were offered on the 2003) and feel that we very much got our moneys worth. We plan to keep the Liberty for 7 or 8 years, so I am hoping that the initial impression of high quality turns out to be accurate.

A good ride - 2003 Jeep Liberty
By Rak - August 1 - 2:00 amI just got my 03 Jeep Liberty Limited a week ago after ordering it around 10 weeks ago. I chose the Atlantic Blue exterior color, light/dark interior and added ABS and side-air bags too. The interior of the jeep is top-notch, the leather is fine grain and i love the overhead console and also the audio controls on the steering wheel. The sound system is decent and the seats are pretty comfortable too. Ride wise, its comfortable but the steering can sometimes feel heavy and it does not always take corners smoothly.
