Noisy but nice - 2003 Honda Odyssey
By Deacon - July 23 - 10:00 amJust had to have one and now that I do, Im enjoying the ride. Its a bit more noisy than I would prefer though. The 02 Camry I traded in was a lot quieter. The ride is somewhat harsh with bumps and general road conditions felt much more than you would expect from a van with this price tag. The seats are very comfortable and the roomy interior is just what is needed. The road trips have been enjoyable and I look forward to many more. All in all a great van.

Transmission trouble - 2003 Honda Odyssey
By npond - July 8 - 7:06 pmAt 96,000 miles the transmission failed, $4700 later and Honda wont cover it! Unbelievable, we took excellent care of this van and had hoped it would last MUCH longer. I wont buy another Honda.

wonderful minivan - 2003 Honda Odyssey
By go_getter - June 16 - 10:00 amI picked up Odyssey EX-L RES yesterday (5/11/03) and gifted it as Mothers Day gift to my wife on our 1 yr old sons behalf. She loves this minivan. We got an awsome price, thanks to edmund.com and my lot of research on the net. We got this minivan for $2000 less than MSRP in Washington DC metro area. I went to dealer with complete info. (MSRP, Invoice price, tax tags frieght charges etc.) and all printouts so I was able to get all numbers correct from them cuz sometimes they agree on some charge but try to trick you on others. but my dealer was truthful and sincere - hard to beleive! We closed deal in less than 1/2 hour.

Happy with Honda - 2003 Honda Odyssey
By vanman - June 1 - 8:13 pmNeeded to respond based on the reviews of some grouchy drivers not happy with their Odysseys. Have had my Odyssey since new. Very little trouble (125k mi). Good power when needed, but decent gas mileage (18-20) for a people mover. With 4 growing boys, have thought about moving up to a Yukon XL. Nothing against the GMC but there are a ton of used ones for sale. Not many used Odysseys. People are happy with them and keep them.

Dont buy this car - 2003 Honda Odyssey
By bighurt - May 3 - 6:42 pmMan what a mistake. Had the chance to purchase a Chrysler for $3,000 less. Decided to go with the Honda because they are much more reliable. Man was that a mistake. New transmission new brakes new front end and all the scheduled mait. Car has been to the shop and all the costs have been outrageous. Car has never been in an accident. I am now the poster child for not buying a HONDA!

At dealership I have been told that maintenance should fix a problem, which really helped for another 9000 miles.I believe that transmission is the only problem (2001 model). Otherwise this minivan is perfect.
