  Purchased used Honda certified Gold from dealership in Feb 2007. In June 2008, noticed that the van seemed to hesitate when I hit the gas. Took it to local repair shop and computer said transmission problems. Sent to dealership. Tech said tranny fluid was old and flushed twice and got no codes. They drove it and said it was better. Took it home and the next day it did the same thing. Felt like not catching between 2nd and 3rd gears. Made an appt to take it back in. Later that day, had major problems getting up a highway hill. Major revving and burning smell. Dashboard totally lit up. Transmission needs replaced. Fortunately warranty runs out in Oct 08. Why on a 5 year 100,000km.

  I have had MANY cars through the years, Im in my 60s. I thoroughly enjoy this one.I LOVE the disappearing back seat and also the well where I can put my groceries etc..The seats are very comfortable too. I also like The 2nd set of seats( behind driver).One can move against the other to make a bench seat or separated as bucket seats.And It is extremely easy to remove the seat if you need to. I can haul a lot of things and fairly large ones.I dont know anything about under the hood however my husband does and is VERY satisfied.NO problems whatsoever!!!I LOVE IT and wouldnt think twice about getting another one!!!!!

  We purchased this van in 2007, it was used but only had 40,000 miles on it. Runs very well but needs constant maintenance. We havent had any transmission probs yet but Idle Air Control Valve needs to be replaced ($300). The doors need to be cleaned and oiled regularly. Inside is very spacious. I have four kids and it fits us very well. I can even pick up my niece and bring her with me.

  I have owned this vehicle for five years now and the mileage is 152,000 miles and still no major problems. I used this to work and I commute more than 3,000 miles mostly highway a month. I changed oil every 5,000 miles and have the tires rotated every 5,000 miles too. I bought my tires at Costco, Michelin Hydroedge and tire mileage is 90,000 miles and still not worn out. Just maintain this car on schedule and you will be trouble free. I never had any transmission problem.

  reliability i can depend on honda odyssey. enjoy traveling without worring about overheating, engine light turning on,transmission failure at 70000 miles, just about finishing paying the car but now have to buy another car because the current one has to many car problems and you face sudden death.....of the car. those experience had in the past. NOT ANYMORE.

  We bought the vehicle new, and have had it for 5 years, and have 100K miles on it. Its very dependable, as expected. And we dont plan on trading it in any time soon. Not many cars these last last long enough to get them paid off. This one does. Weve had it in the shop once to do most of the recommended service on it. A quality vehicle all around.
