Not bad for its price - 2003 Honda CR-V
By Sandy M - October 15 - 10:00 amI purchased the CRV after a lot of research. It is the best buy for its price. I contacted the dealer fot the low fuel mileage - 19/23 and was told that it would improve in the summer as there would be no additives to the fuel. Lets see. Aslo I feel the engine is always at a high RPM. It should not be more than 2000 - 2500 RPM on the top gear.

Good Car But Beware of Air Cond Problems - 2003 Honda CR-V
By L. Adkins - July 25 - 11:13 amFor the most part I have enjoyed my CR-V. It is great for road trips and hauling a lot of stuff. Its very comfortable to drive and I love sitting up higher than a car. My main minor complaint is noise in the cabin, especially on the highway, but I knew this was an issue before I bought it. Also, the 4 cyl engine seems to struggle at times, especially when accelerating. My major complaint - at 55k, the air compressor just blew and the entire system has to be replaced. Estimate is $3,000.

Honda not living up to reputation - 2003 Honda CR-V
By quietrider - June 9 - 4:23 pmAfter my disaster with my first car, a 94 Ford Thunderbird, I decided to listen to my friends who told me of Hondas legendary build quality. What I found with this CR-V was that it drove well and has a nice design however, they did a lousy job with the air conditioner unit. It went out first in 04 after only 31,000 miles on it. Then it went out again in 06 when I had over 90,000 miles on it. Today 6/9/2007 it has gone out again. Other then this problem it has been a great vehicle.

2003 Honda CR-V - 2003 Honda CR-V
By JD NJ - June 5 - 4:24 pmThe CRV has been a good car until recently. I agree with the other reviews which say that the car is fun to drive, decent gas mileage, power, etc. Minor problem began when it was two years old. It developed a rattle on the front right side and odd tire wear. Dealer still claims that they can not find a problem. Interior parts started to break through normal use and rubber matting on dash started to peel up. Now I am dealing with the A/C compressor failure which Honda denies is common in the 2002-2005 CRV. I hope that Honda will pay for A/C repairs 100% to help restore my confidence in them.

Good car for first child - 2003 Honda CR-V
By emat24 - December 14 - 10:00 amWe bought our CRV in expectation of our first child, trading in my wifes sporty little car which just wasnt practical enough. We didnt want to get a mini-van -- just too soccer-mom for us at this stage -- and the CRV is a great alternative.

Disappointed CRV owner - 2003 Honda CR-V
By diappsointed crv own - December 11 - 7:14 amDisappointed with the mileage of my CRV. Sticker say 22-26. For the past 3.5 years I avg around 22-23 for all driving. A couple of times near 20. Highest has been 24.5 for a highway trip.

Internet Sales Are the WAY! - 2003 Honda CR-V
By Jay W - November 12 - 2:00 amGreat car, but difficult to buy, until we found the internet department of the place we went... got in and out within 2 days... we did not haggle at all... and were given a great price.... Anyhow... great car for those looking for the best all-around mini-ute... handles great... engine smooth... ride is firm, but not jarring... Best value for the money in sport-utes though!

safety after crash totaling my CRV - 2003 Honda CR-V
By ahakooz - October 27 - 10:00 amI just wanted to say that my CRV was the only car I was in an accident with. I rear ended a lady at 60 mph when her brake lights didnt work and I hadnt realized she was standing still. My CRV was totaled..but except for the airbags that deployed, You would never have known it from the inside. Now the outside was a different story...but the safety factor is incredible. I walked out .. dazed by the airbag..but unhurt. I did have some seatbelt bruizing to my chest... but thats it. Im on my 5th Honda now.. I have an Accord coupe, and Ill keep going back for more.

CR-V revu - 2003 Honda CR-V
By sjurey - August 3 - 10:00 amAs a busy mom, transporting and hauling the stuff of a family is so much easier and more fun in my CR-V. Kids, dogs, groceries, science projects--they all can fit in this vehicle. Reliable, easy to maintain, and fun to drive -- the CR-V has been a great addition to our family.
