  • Super Reliability - 2003 Honda CR-V

Bought this 5 years ago and have had very few problems. The cheap tires that came with it had to be replaced after one year. We have also replaced the backup light switch and a relay for the blower motor. We just replaced the rear brakes at 105,000 miles but the front still had some life left. Gas mileage isnt great at 23-26 mpg. Great in the snow once the original tires were replaced. This car wont win any races and if it does the gas mileage will really be poor. However the engine is still pretty powerful up in the mountains with a full load, and you can pass confidently on the highway. Super maneuverable in parking lots and tight spaces. Very noisy on the highway.

  • Lose the stupid parts! - 2003 Honda CR-V

Generally nice vehicle, but far too many unnecessary standard features, while much-needed features (like a door lock switch on front passenger door) are missing.

  • For small drivers only - 2003 Honda CR-V

For a Honda devotee, this SUV model is somewhat disappointing in the comfort department. If driver is taller than 55", get set for cramped legs. No ability to extend front seat for comfort. Moon roof does not open to a fully opened position. A pressured vibration exists when one window is opened, only subsiding when two or more windows are opened. Floor controls for gas and hood release take up so much space that left ankle is forced in an awkward position.

  • why i chose honda - 2003 Honda CR-V

After having 2 American-made cars, I love my Honda. I feel safer, and, after much research, it was the best value I could afford, offering the most standard equipment and perks for the price.

  • Tons of Room! - 2003 Honda CR-V

I purchased my CR-V with about 22,000 miles on it and it now has nearly 55,000. It is a reliable vehicle and drives like a car. I feel very safe in it and it has room to spare. The CR-V gets decent gas mileage for an SUV, but it could be better. I commute about 50 miles per day, round trip, and road noise it a bit of a problem on the highway. Ive also been noticing an increasing number of rattles. Unlike many others, I have yet to have a problem with the air conditioning (knock on wood). Overall, I think the CR-V is a good compact SUV, but Im thinking of trading mine in for a smaller car since gas prices are so high and dont appear to be dropping anytime soon.

  • Overall a Good Vehicle - 2003 Honda CR-V

I have 100K miles and have had only a few annoying issues. The driver door cant be unlocked and the power outlet is dead, but overall, this has been a good vehicle. Feels sturdy and rides well. Cabin is noisy on the highway, but feels secure on a roadtrip. Biggest annoyance (other than not being able to get in on the drivers side!) is the small fuel tank. Good mileage, but since the tanks small, I live at the gas station.

  • Most reliable car Ive owned - 2003 Honda CR-V

Owned the CR-V for 4 years now. Long commutes to work and the car is extremely reliable. Not the fastest acceleration, but the manual tranny helps keep up the pace. Only 1-2 problems so far. Alternator went at 95k and I couldnt replace it myself (close quarters to remove bolts). The TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) malfunctioned causing stalls and rough idle at 100k. This is a common problem shared with the Acura RSX and Civic (same part) and to my surprise Honda dosent sell this part (normally $50) seperately but wants you to buy a whole new throttle body ($750+). Replaced with an aftermarket TPS for $75. Otherwise a great vehicle!

  • I love my red Honda CRV - 2003 Honda CR-V

I am a mom with 2 kids and I love this car. I have had it for more than 3 years and it never required any attention other than the oil change. Its spacious, yet I can reach to my kids in the back while driving. It feels reliable and safe.

  • Great Overall Vehicle - 2003 Honda CR-V

This car gets decent mileage. Easy to park. Great driving visibility all around except for the center rear seat headrest. I simply removed it and solved the problem. GREAT in the snow or rain. Only bad thing is going through tires. After a 4 wheel strut change, no problems.
