Pretty good overall - 2003 Honda CR-V
By Steven - May 4 - 7:22 pmToo many rattles, and not great visibility. But car handles great - and the amount of interior space is more than enough. Not sure Ill buy another due to all the rattling, however.

Loving it... - 2003 Honda CR-V
By colleen - March 2 - 10:00 amI love my CRV. First Honda that Ive ever had. Great first impression. Bought it Apr 03. Fun to drive, great to look at even sitting in garage! It must have impressed a lady on the interstate sooo much that she rear- ended me when it was only 9 days old! Her little ole SUV couldnt handle the impact. My CRV has little damage to rear. Still my baby, though.

Too Many Problems - 2003 Honda CR-V
By gwmmem - February 28 - 6:48 pmWhile this is an overall well built vehicle, it has had way too many problems for a 2 year old Honda with 20K miles. No major problems and everything has been covered under warranty, but too many days in the shop. The day we picked it up, the driver side pwr window switch malfunctioned. In the first month the front AC adapter ceased working. Recently, the battery and the front right strut/spring assembly had to be replaced. The front strut problem was initialy diagnosed as a brake problem causing an extra day in the shop. All this on top of 3 saftey recalls. This is my 5th Honda and Ive come to expect a more reliable vehicle from them.

Its ok...but - 2003 Honda CR-V
By RobM62 - December 1 - 10:00 amI purchased this vehicle in March 03 and its been on many road trips. Im dissappointed about the interior upholstery. Within one month it was literally coming apart at the seams. The foam is lying on the floor. Honda is ordering me a new seat cover but its been backordered for over a month. NOT too impressive.

Pix Pick - 2003 Honda CR-V
By jpick - October 30 - 2:00 amI drove a much heavier 96 Chev. Blazer with compromised fuel economy (16 mpg) and fuel tank size, not to mention horrific emissions. I now drive the CRV with some compromise in power, but am compensated with responsiveness, agility, and fuel economy. A trade I find to be well worth the sacrifice.

Somewhat disappointed - 2003 Honda CR-V
By M Case - October 9 - 2:00 amThe CR-V has been an OK vehicle, but by no means great. Evidently designed to be a grocery-getter. To accelerate, it almost always has to downshift. Its the easiest vehicle that I have ever owned to slide while going around a corner. Had to replace brakes at 33,000 all 4 tires at 35,000. In retrospect I wish I had bought something bigger.

I am happy with our CR-V - 2003 Honda CR-V
By Zorrolf - September 12 - 10:00 amWe have bought it 6 month ago and are really happy with it. If you consider buying a CR-V check out the front passenger leg room though ! It is very tight and on longer trips it can be quite annoying for people with longer legs.

Not for off road driving - 2003 Honda CR-V
By SkyPuddle - August 7 - 2:00 amFor most driving, we love our Honda CR- V. But we have had real trouble driving it on anything but paved roads. Both last summer and this summer we damaged the vapor recovery system (it hangs down under the rear axle) when we drove it on rough roads. We were not taking on particularly hairy roads but the CR-V really has no more ground clearance than a sedan. Not recommended for those that want a car to take to the mountains.
