Overview & Reviews
Honda has added a new trim level for 2002, the SE. The Accord SE is based on the LX four-cylinder coupe or sedan trim level with an automatic transmission. Features setting the SE apart from LX models include an upgraded audio system, a driver seat power height adjustment, interior wood grain trim, antilock brakes, remote keyless entry and 15-inch alloy wheels.
- Great build quality, spacious interior, peppy yet clean engines, comfortable seats, excellent resale value, reputation for bulletproof reliability.
- Everybody drives one, bland personality, stiff highway ride.

Bland but will drive forever - 2002 Honda Accord
By wagonneer2 - March 15 - 2:00 amWe have had our Accord for about a year and half (16000 mi). It is smooth, solid, and reliable. The interior is very inviting with good quality plastics. Just about everyhting is in the right place (except cup holders). Dash is much nicer to look at than Camry, Altima or other family sedans. Suspension is firmer than Camry but seems to handle better. The exterior styling is very bland, but better than the 2003 models, which have an ugly back end. This car will last forever.

02 Honda Accord Coupe - 2002 Honda Accord
By jhebrink - March 10 - 10:00 amOverall, very positive. Although the fuel economy was a bit disappointing. I would sacrifice fuel economy for the V6 though. Very comfortable ride for a 45 mile each way daily commute. 0 maintenance problems I think it says alot about the car that one of my suggested improvements is as petty as cup holder placement.

2002 Accord LX - 2002 Honda Accord
By 2nd Accord - February 23 - 2:05 pmWe bought this car in 2004 with 30K miles. It is moderately equipped (all pwr, auto, 4cyl.). Three years later, it has only needed gas, oil, some new rubber, and a brake switch. The seats are a touch firm for my taste, but I only drive it on road trips (wifes car). Great gas mileage. Acceptably quick (typical 4cyl sluggishness off the line, but great passing power). This has been a fantastic car for us. Few complaints.

Good but a bit much for the money - 2002 Honda Accord
By Dm - February 17 - 7:46 pmGreat car, I love the gas mileage for a V6 and the car is more than comfortable. The standard stereo system is nice and clear at loud volumes. However for the money, I wish I would have shopped around better, its nice but a typical family sedan. Could have gotten something a bit sportier and catchier to the eye.

Great Car! - 2002 Honda Accord
By cjkatc - February 17 - 10:00 amI just bought this Accord and love it!! I love the safety, reliability, and gas mileage. I commute to cover sporting events and needed a good car. The Accord though not flashy gets the job done better than any other midsize I tested. I could not beat the price of 16,000 and 4.75% financing, too good to pass up.

Rattel, rattle, rattle - 2002 Honda Accord
By DPVW - January 12 - 2:00 amI love everything about this car, EXCEPT the rattles in: the stereo bracket, the passenger door molding, the rear passenger-side molding, the speaker covers, the driver-side dash, the right-hand vent molding, the sunroof hardware and the glove box latch. And no, Im not unusually picky about these things: everybody who rides in it says something to me. Ive also had bizzare noises from the rear brakes and the muffler heat shield. Only the latter two have been fixed - all the others are ignored by Honda mechanics, needless to say.

5 years old and very few problems... - 2002 Honda Accord
By Mike Sanders - December 29 - 7:10 pmMy 2002 has been a very reliable car. I have the 4-cyl. and it is peppy enough to be fun and safe. I did have the service light come on, twice, because of a fault in the air- bag system. The dealer fixed it both times, under warranty. Also, I had to replace the battery, at around the four year point. Aside from regularly scheduled maintenance, thats it! Ive owned over a dozen cars and Ive never had a more trouble-free experience.
