Honda has added a new trim level for 2002, the SE. The Accord SE is based on the LX four-cylinder coupe or sedan trim level with an automatic transmission. Features setting the SE apart from LX models include an upgraded audio system, a driver seat power height adjustment, interior wood grain trim, antilock brakes, remote keyless entry and 15-inch alloy wheels.

• Great build quality, spacious interior, peppy yet clean engines, comfortable seats, excellent resale value, reputation for bulletproof reliability.

• Everybody drives one, bland personality, stiff highway ride.

  Good, but not perfect - 2002 Honda Accord

  In a nutshell, I leased for less than $300/month with zero down, a car that has almost everything I was looking for. V6 with decent power, leather but not ventilated or heated seats, decent CD player but not MP3, quiet but still too much wind noise. But I dont love it. I cant really explain why but it just doesnt grab me the way that my previous cars did even though it is the fastest and highest end car Ive owned. Sad but true.

  Overall an excellent car. Great on highway rides or around town. The build quality is excellent. Engine could be a little quieter.

  excellent engine. fuel capacity is good. great fun to drive. interior capacity deserves more though.

  Dont get me wrong, I like the car very much, but had a problem with the airbag light that required installation of tons of new computer parts. The only reason I would consider another honda after that is that the dealers service was great including renting a car at their cost when it wasnt completed. I do like the car very much though

  I am pleasantly surprised how many standard options come with this model. V-6 engine, traction control, 6 CD changer, and , best of all, a thermostat climate control system are features that make this car a remarkable value at $23,500. (It is a better value than the Acura TL for example.) Previous Accords that I owned had the power windows and moon roof, so I am accustomed to those options in a car. I live in New England so the addition of traction control makes winter driving less frustrating.

  Only complaint is mpg. Experience has generally been 18 in city and best has been 24 on highway.

  I bought this car with 12k mls on it 5 monts ago.It now is approaching 30k. I have had no hints of problems at all. The car is very comfortable to be in for long periods of time and it handles very well. I would like to note, I was in an accident recently in this vehicle and it held up remarkably. I was rearended at a dead stop by an older full metal car that was traveling at 30 miles per hour.ALthough there was over 5grand in damage and sever whiplash, i think that it could have been worse. By the way, the airbags didnt pop. I like the car and would suggest it to anyone who is looking for quality at an affordable price.

  a sub-class between the ex and the lx, mostly the honda folks called glorified LX big and comfy seat, the seatbelt sometime lock up too quick, especailly for the taller driver, excellent visablity cockpit. good amount of storage space. the bottemline: its better than the lx with a little more money. however i found hondas new car isnt as solidly built as honda did years ago. its a great communter car, its no where near fast but its perfect for heavy city driving, good resale valve, some what cheap to maintenan and keep, good insurance price for the teenage driver.

  Very nice car... Air conditioning is not acceptable in hot weather... Dealer has looked at the AC and cant find any thing amiss... Freon is supposedly okay.. This spoils the way I feel about the car... I possible not purchase another Accord..
