This Year's Model Updates:

The TrailBlazer gets a host of minor interior improvements this year. Seating has been restyled and boasts comfort and quality improvements. Detail changes include revised chrome accents, trim enhancements and a new instrument panel appearance. Among the new options are an audio system with CD/MP3 compatibility and full-length side curtain airbags (which replace last year's front-seat side airbags).

Pros:
  • Strong engine performance, comfortable highway ride, extensive features list, user-friendly controls.
Cons:
  • Skittish handling around corners, numb steering, generic interior design with mediocre materials.

  • Cheap Cheap Cheap - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

I own a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS 4x4, purchased it in February 2006 with around 11,000 miles on it. Since Ive owned the vehicle, Ive already replaced the rotors. The rubber molding trim around the back doors comes through when the doors are shut. The black plastic molding around the front driver side door handle keeps falling off- local Chevrolet dealership fixed it and it fell off again. The front passenger seat molding around the bottom of the seat is loose. The glove compartment will completely fall out onto the floor from time to time. Overall this vehicle was made cheap and Ill never buy another one. Im looking into trading for a Toyota 4Runner.

  • Hunk of Junk! - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
    By -

I have had my TrailBlazer for 2 years and have had nothing but problems. The first thing that went wrong was the driver side panel on the seat had to get replaced within a year. The second thing was the rear windshield wiper hinge had to be replaced. The fourth is the passenger side panel on the seat had to be replaced. The fifth thing is my dash and headlights keep dimming often. I took it to the dealership and they claim its normal. The sixth item is the rear windshield wiper hinge had to be replaced again. The final thing so far is that my hatch shocks are going out and the hatch will not open all the way. This truck is junk. Im getting a foreign car. I had a 5 year old Civic, and not one problem.

  • 2005 Trailblazer - Impressed! - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

The Trailblazer is a must have in a mid size SUV. The value is unbeatable. The V6 engine is best in class and really is quite impressive. It blows away the competition.

  • Cant keep it running - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Currently in shop w/ 46k, at 25k new cylinder head, at 35k new trans, at 45k new cylinder head again, and while they were in there found timing problem. Like everything about the vehicle but it just wont stay away from the service department. Owned GM all my life, never had an experience like this, not sure if Ill buy another. Did I mention they have had this vehicle in and out of service for a total of around 2 months.

I enjoy my sisters 2003 Tahoe, but wanted something a little smaller. This TrailBlazer is a dream come true. Chevy did it again!!! I purchased a 2005 TrailBlazer LS (w/ additional options) last month, and it is the best vehicle that I have ever purchased!!!

  • Wind Noise! - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
    By -

I have always had GM products. After all the wind noise my TrailBlazer has this may be my last. People who ride in the back seat alway ask if the window is all the way up. After a while my wife and I just laugh. When I took it back to fix the wind noise I was told this is a bad feature with the 2005 models. We took it back again, and let them know we didnt pay all that money for a bad feature. It has been at the dealership for 6 weeks. They have tried many things but wind noise is still there.

i think chevy finally has a winner. i didnt like price at first, but the more i drive this vehicle the more i love it. big, lots of power, it will get up and go when you need it. long trips are great. when you get there, feels like you havent been anywhere. looks very good. the inside could use some work, but it will do. i have received nothing but compliments on the vehicle from people who ride in it. i love my trailblazer!

  • TrailBlazer OK - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

The vehicle now seems to be OK. It took a long time to work all the bugs in the electrical system out almost every other week it was in the shop. Now I enjoy the ride and the comfort.
