This Year's Model Updates:

The TrailBlazer gets a host of minor interior improvements this year. Seating has been restyled and boasts comfort and quality improvements. Detail changes include revised chrome accents, trim enhancements and a new instrument panel appearance. Among the new options are an audio system with CD/MP3 compatibility and full-length side curtain airbags (which replace last year's front-seat side airbags).

Pros:
  • Strong engine performance, comfortable highway ride, extensive features list, user-friendly controls.
Cons:
  • Skittish handling around corners, numb steering, generic interior design with mediocre materials.

Ive had this truck for 10 months problem free. The ride is not as good when first bought new , but its still better than most mid size SUVs. Solid SUV , would buy again .

Its all in the name. I just bought this vehicle (my 1st Chevy or GM product) and everything about the way this car screams cruising. Yes it has the horses but it takes forever to get up there. The car does not accelerate. Its like being dragged out of bed to go to school when we were kids. It starts off VRRRRRR (do I really have to?) RRRROOOM. Once it gets there, its cruisin. This vehicle is for cruising only and its great for that purpose only. I have the EXT version LS equipped with the basics. Its about as long as a SUV can get. I was surprised at the horsepower this thing has. After owning nothing but foreign SUVs, this GM product has changed my thinking about domestic products.

Nice smooth lines on the body. Rear kicked up to 3.73 ratio really kicks in at 2800-300 RPM. Feels like an extra gear. The ride is so smooth. Mileage is very reasonable. Locations of gauges and gadgets is nice. Instrument cluster is very nice. Full gauges-Gas, Oil, RPM, Tach, Temp, Battery. Engine feels like it always wants to go. Good feeling and response from the engine. Smooth acceleration. Rear cargo hold is easily accessible. Braking has improved too. Stopping my 1995 Blazer was like stopping a bus! I really enjoy driving this car!

Great truck....glad I bought it! Had an accident 3 weeks after purchase. I was rearended by a car going 30+ mph. You can barely tell I was in an accident. The trailer hitch took 99% of impact. I am very satisfied with this vehicle and would highly recommend it to everyone interested in a resonably priced SUV.

In May of 2005 I purchased a 2005 Trailblazer LT with all the bells and whistles (except for the touch screen navigation, I am able to read a map), and I have to say i extremely pleased all around with the vehicle. From its gutsy power to its driver information center, this vehicle has been an effortless delight to drive. There is less worry when driving due to its driver information center which goes as far as to tell you when you are driving with your turn signal on, when you are low on window washing fluid, and what your engine oil life expectancy is in percentage. Chevy has definitely given the public a lot of luxury for a small dollar amount. Thank you Chevorlet

Since the Trailblazier has come onto the market I have admired their appearance and style. Well, not only does the Trailblazier have style, but it is a pure pleasure to drive. Quiet and comfortable. I have not regreted a day since my purchase. Would have gotten the EXT if I have thought about it at the time.

We traded a 2000 Jeep Larado for this Trailblazer and just love it. After owning a Jeep for 5 years we noticed the Trailblazer is very soft riding. The interior is very large. I am 62 and I have plenty of head room. We just love the 2005 Trailblazer.

I swore Id never drive a Chevy again, but the employee-discount deal made a 2yr lease on this T-Blazer cheaper than the four-year-old Eddie Bauer I was looking at, so I relented. Took it through a car wash the other day; the top windshield molding blew off. My wife opened the door the other day; the inside door seal fell to the ground. Plasticy interior has had a couple rattles already. Biggest complaint is the lack of travel on the seats. Im 63 and cant get the seat low enough to feel like Im riding "in" the car, rather than "on" the car, plus no lumbar or lateral back support- my 96 Ford had a better seat. It aint bad, it just could be better..

  • So far so good - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

My 2005 TrailBlazer EXT LT has almost everything I could ask for. With 600 miles on it everything is tight and working as it should. Based on a less than perfect experience with my last vehicle (2002 Blazer) I hope the not to report back that things have fallen apart in a year or so. I really like the ride and handling. Cabin space is much better than the 4Runner I was looking at, amenities are more affordable (at least up front, resale value is another thing). I didnt get the sunroof, it gives me an extra inch of head room but getting it out meant I had to get the DVD player (not needed but my daughter loves it). All in all it is a VERY nice ride every day, I am impressed.

I love the new Trailblazers! Handles like a dream on corners. Room for the whole family. Beautiful color choices. I chose superior blue metallic. Great accents.
