This Year's Model Updates:

The TrailBlazer gets a host of minor interior improvements this year. Seating has been restyled and boasts comfort and quality improvements. Detail changes include revised chrome accents, trim enhancements and a new instrument panel appearance. Among the new options are an audio system with CD/MP3 compatibility and full-length side curtain airbags (which replace last year's front-seat side airbags).

Pros:
  • Strong engine performance, comfortable highway ride, extensive features list, user-friendly controls.
Cons:
  • Skittish handling around corners, numb steering, generic interior design with mediocre materials.

By far this is one of the few midsize SUVs that actually comes close to what it is supposed to do. The interior is actually roomy, I am 62" and I fit more comfortable in this truck than in my Silverado. I do have only one complaint, it is the weather strip for the rear passenger door that just wont stay in place. The sound system is actually pretty decent. The combination of colors for the interior are awesome. I have had my good share of vehicles, I am very satisfied with this particular one.

Gets 22.5 on the hiway in 2wd. Did not use 4wd yet, You ride in comfort and security with the OnStar and a 6 cyl eng that you dont hear it run. Very solid and I love to drive it.

Owning the Chevy Trailblazer has been very fun. This vehicle is very reliable and for having a six cylinder engine it is pretty fast and strong. The accelaration is very quick and you could feel the power of the engine as you step on the gas pedal. I feel that this vehicle is safe and comfortable for me and my family.

Really excited to purchase first SUV. Six months later, I am disappointed. Poor fit and finish, interior is terribly cheap. First and last GM product.

I am extremely disappointed in this vehicle. Gas mileage very poor. Worse than the 1/2 ton Silverado I had. Very noisy inside of vehicle. I took vehicle back to dealer for the noise. They worked on it for a day with inpuit from GM. GM said the vehicle has high road noise. I find this vehicle to be noisier than the Silverado I had. All in all, buying this vehicle was not a good move. On the positive side, the leg room in front is great for a person +6.

  • Great for towing, bad for driving - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Leased it to tow my boat, great for towing, tons of power. Dont believe what sticker says about gas mileage, they like to pad the numbers. If I would have known I was gonna get 11 mpg I would have leased something different. Love to change my own oil, but for the life of me why would they bury the oil filter so you cant get at it, and Im a mechanic. All that aside its not a bad SUV, if they built an SUV that got 40 mpg everyone would buy it.

I do lots of driving. My first T- Blazer (2002) racked up 80K in 2 yrs with only reg. maint. I then purchd an 04. Already has 30K. Excellent ride, ft seats could be better, rears are best in class. No road noise at all. Steers, brakes, corners excellent. Lots of compartments- including sunglasses!! My 02 had an aux pwr outlet in the rear and a glovebox light. My 04 does not. Cmon GM, how much did that really save? Headliner wont stay up. Gas mileage could be better, but it is a truck w/280 HP. 14-16 hard city driving, and 18-22 @ 75 MPH. Not that bad, but I am sure all trucks could be better. Bose radio is a must. Excellent agressive styling. Well laid out interior. Great to tow/haul.

The trailblazer is a reliable SUV. It offers AWD, 4WD and lo. With all the snow we have had here in New England I have had the chance to test the truck. Aside from the sketchy handling around sharp corners, which I think due to the size of any SUV it would be in question. Overall it is a pleasure to drive.

After driving a Chevy Blazer for fifteen yrs GM has a hit with the Trailblazer . Gas mileage on the second tank of gas was 19.44 mpg that was with the fourwheel drive used for about 100 miles and a combo of city and hwy driving . I expect more when strictly hwy. The four wheel drive system is nice and when activated hardly notice it shifting in four wheel. I drive in Colorado and felt very good and safe on the snow and ice . Had a hard time making the wheels slip when in four wheel drive evan in ice packed corners. Down side, an air leak at door seal that is annoying, will take to dealer to fix

  • Great midsize SUV - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

This is a great midsize SUV! Its got a look! Its got a power! I enjoy a nice smooth and quite ride. The handling is great as well as comfort. Engine is pretty quite even while passing many sports sedans! 4WD takes care of any road and weather conditions. Considering its price its probably the best bet in the midsize SUV class!
