The TrailBlazer gets a host of minor interior improvements this year. Seating has been restyled and boasts comfort and quality improvements. Detail changes include revised chrome accents, trim enhancements and a new instrument panel appearance. Among the new options are an audio system with CD/MP3 compatibility and full-length side curtain airbags (which replace last year's front-seat side airbags).
- Strong engine performance, comfortable highway ride, extensive features list, user-friendly controls.

By Casper - April 29 - 11:50 amThe car is quite nice to drive. Very easy to use especially with the steering wheel controls. I plan on taking it for a long trip this May so that should be interesting. Pretty quick at least faster than my Mazda. Very good car for a small family.

Never again - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By Layn Hayes - April 29 - 7:09 amI purchased my TrailBlazer used, it drives and looks great, lots of wind noise until I put on wind deflectors from wal-mart to keep the rain off the door electronics. I had serious noise in 4wd and was told it was from dry pavement.now the front def. has to be replaced and GM has offered 25% of a $5,000 bill that can be done elsewhere for $2,000 a 12 labour charge because of a very poor design. I have had to replace the rotors and pads, tie-rod ends at 60,000K. The seat skirts have to be repaired. Kept loosing antifreeze, GM replaced the Head gasket to stop the leak. No wonder GM is a sinking ship. Tires need to be replaced now at 70,000K.

Major Gas Hog - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By bsm2dogs - April 27 - 11:59 amI didnt care about the poor fuel mileage of this hog at the time of purchase, but boy is it bad now that fuel is $3.50 a gallon! The navigation system is also a joke. You cant use it without the disk which by the way cost $500+ and it is outdated. Want updates?, Buy a new disk at the $500+ price. In my opinion, there are much better choices out there then this vehicle - Dont waste your money on it.

By Danielle - April 24 - 1:33 pmI just bought the TrailBlazer and I think I like it. I am not sure about the gas mileage. I think it could do a lot better, but it rides like a Caddy and I like that. But so far so good!

By juliep83 - April 21 - 2:57 pmI have had my 05 trailblazer for almost 2 years and nothing but problems! Aside from all the mechanical problems, the wind noise around the Windows is terrible, gas mileage is less than the sticker says, interior is made very cheap, inside of the rear doors are rusting, rear wiper hinge has broke many times, tires wear unevenly. Ive always had a Chevy but never again! My advice is dont but a trailblazer! Oh and their trade in value is terrible!

By Recommended - April 20 - 6:06 pmExcellent overall vehicle. I drive fairly gently, obey speed limits, and use cruise control. 22.5 mpg hwy and 17.5 mpg city. When wanted, great power from the inline 6 cyl (275 hp). Fantastic brakes! Super-tight turning radius... Made driving/parking in chicago a breeze. I bought used with 7k mi 3/06 now has 39.5k mi... Absolutely no problems. 4wd works well... several excursions beach driving at Outer Banks, NC without problems (deflate tires to 15-20psi). I suggest changing OEM tires from Goodyears. I installed Michelin LTX tires and handling, ride, and offroad greatly improved! Outstanding everyday vehicle, in my opinion.

Comfortable for me 64" with good leg and head room, excellent acceleration, quality interior, stylish exterior. Low road noise, and after 15,000 miles in 15 months no mechanical problems. I like the roominess and the cargo space. My only beef about this car is the lousy gas mileage. The rating says 15city/20hwy but I get about 14 MPG anywhere I go.

Great Buy - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By Dave - March 11 - 10:03 amWe bought our TrailBlazer in 05 after owning 3 Blazers since 1995. This truck handles well, is much more comfortable, has more power and has proven to be extremely reliable. It has been to the dealer four times since we got it, all for scheduled oil changes, nothing else. This thing is loaded with great options such as dual heat controls, front and back, XM satellite radio, OnStar, heated leather seats, sunroof, and more. Mileage varies from around 15-16 in town to as high as 22 mpg on the highway. Would definitely buy another! Chevy has a winner.

By Jo - February 27 - 12:16 amI owned my Trailblazer for almost 2 years. Bought it used with 15000 miles on it. Im shocked by the negative reviews on other Trailblazers because mine was great, except for the gas mileage. It started out at 17 mpg, later was getting 14 mpg. As much as I hated to, I decided to trade it for a Hyundai Tuscan so I could get better gas mileage. When I traded, it had 35000 miles on it. Other than it being in the shop a few times right after I got it, to replace a window motor and radio (which were covered under warranty) I never had any other problems. I wish that Chevrolet had made the Trailblazer get the same gas mileage as my Tuscan. Id still be driving it

By jd - February 17 - 9:36 pmNothing but trouble out of my trailblazer. Like the looks, but thats about it. Only has 32,000 miles and Im having misfires in cylinders. Dealership cant figure out whats wrong. Want to charge me thousands of dollars to test different "theories". Hatch shocks are also already out. Plus there was a whinning in the motor, come to find out the tensioner pulley was going out. Going to get rid of the suv, before it completely goes out.
