I just bought this car and I love it. Its def a head turner and for me it moves..i previously drove a Madza 626 and a Nissan Maxima. This is my first sporty car. I cant get enough of it. The interior hugs you and is very comfy and the moon roof is my favorite part! Im happy the back seat is small..I never have to drive when we go out!

I bought this car used with TONZ on miles. 160,000. They said it had been rebuilt. NOPE. Car ran great with miles, even put up with me building it, turbocharging it, and street racing, all the way up to 160mph. These cars motors are great, they make a little clatter cause of the VVTI-L, but otherwise a great handling vehicle. Try taking a corner at 30mph, drop a low gear and floor it out of the corner. Whew.. the car will make you smile. AMAZING performance with turbo. Enough said. Great little car, not quite fast enough acceleration to be a race car, but it did okay with builds. The car has 170,000 miles on it today, and still stands up and shouts with the best. I give it a 8 out of 10.

I have had a few minor hiccups owning this car but overall its been an enjoyable experience. I havent had any major mechanical malfunctions since I purchased it. The car isnt the fastest on the market obviously but its quick and gets good gas mileage. It has a unique look as well which gets attention even though it doesnt have the power to back it up.

This car is the best car I have ever owned. Except for the fact that I bought it used, so now Im having a little trouble with it because of the person that had it before me. But all in all it has been the most fun vehicle that I have owned and I used to have a trans am, so as you can tell all I like to drive are two door sports cars. Im so glad that I went to a import vehicle, I will never go domestic again.

  • 4 Years with my Celica - 2000 Toyota Celica

I bought this car new back in early 2000 and it was a real head turner 4 years ago. I still get compliments on how nice my car is. The car has servered me well. I have had 0 problems with it (which is shocking for a first year model run). It gets great gas mileage, is fun to drive, it even handles well in the snow ... you just cant beat it for the price. I am finally getting ready to buy my 2nd car in a more expensive price range, the only thing that is holding me back is having to sell my Celica!

I owned a used 87 Celica, then bought a new 2000 Celica four years ago. I still love my car, and get lots of compliments on it. Reliability is superb, handling is awesome, its fun to drive, yet comfortable, and it looks really nice. In addition to some comsmetic upgrades, I have upgraded the intake, exhaust, shifter, wheels/tires, and added a front strut-tower brace to make it even more fun to drive. People who complain about blind-spots need to adjust their side-view mirrors properly; true, it doesnt have the wide-open expanses of glass that some cars have, so it takes some getting used to, but I have no blind-spots.

From the moment I test drove this car I knew I had to have it. It handles like no car I have ever driven before. Fast, sleek and so much fun to drive. In fact, I dont think I was ready for just how quick this car goes (4 accidents in this car.. just 1 in all cars previous). I would love to keep driving it forever, but since my insurance has skyrocketed because of speeding tickets and accidents I will probably end up getting something more "practical". But I dont think Ill ever find another car I enjoyed as much as this one. Thanks Toyota! :)

  • Fun little hatchback for a daily driver! - 2000 Toyota Celica

I purchased this car used in 2005 with about 52,000 on the ticker and it was in reasonable shape at the time. After some finesse on my part and a new set of wheels and tires (mine were out of round and the tires were wrecked due to bad alignment, it really started to come along. Besides some maintenance like a new fuel filter, belt tensioner and serpentine, and new lift gate shocks; the car is dead nuts reliable. The gas mileage in mine is good but I see only an average of about 25-26 and 28-30 on the highway. With the black leather interior it is HOT HOT in the Texas sun but the A/C does a great job of cooling you down and keeping comfortable. I am happy and will drive into the ground!
