Nice car - quick but not fast enough. Handles perfect, shifting is good. Ride is comfortable - better than RSX and quieter. Low road and engine noise. Mileage is ~27 mixed - Im not a calm driver tho. View of blind spot and rear view is terrible. Especially with the spoiler in the way. Plastic interior damages very easily. I dont mind the look - but scratches/gouges too much.

This is a very nice car. Getting from point A-B hasnt been an issue for me. Very reliable & fun-to-drive. Havent had any mechanical problems and absolutely love the durability of this car. Has tight/firm Handling & is almost "go-kart" like. Great on gas and has effortless style points. I chose the 6-speed manual to better my gas consumption and wouldnt recommend anything else(especially if youre looking to enhance performance). I have (ashy)grey cloth interior that has held nicely for 13 years now. All electrical units have lasted and honestly havent had a bad experience with the car yet. All-together a great, fun, and exciting car to drive down the highway. 2 thumbs up!

  • Best car ever - 2000 Toyota Celica

I bought this car last year to have a little extra fun driving a stick. It doesnt disappoint. Its a solid little poor man sports car with great gas mileage, decent pick up, and great handling. Its the best car I have ever owned! I bought it with 89k and the only thing wrong so far is the passenger side window motor isnt working. I highly recommend this car for a medium to small sized person. I get stares all the time.

My Celica is almost two years old and was a great buy. I got a fabulous deal on it and have not been disappointed. I now really want a convertible or a car with a removable roof-panel, otherwise Id keep it for years.

Since Ive had my GTS model it has been nothing but headache. Bought the car on past reliability of the Celicas history. So far I have had the moonroof, driver and passenger seats, motor, clutch, headlamp, assembly,alternator(2 times),airbox assembly, the full fuel system and the belt tensoner pully. becuase of this I will never buy a Toyota again.good luck to all that have them.

this was my first car and i had it for 2 and a half months before i totaled it. i loved everything about the car, but if youre thinking about getting one, make sure you get the antilock brakes. i didnt know that they were not standard and mine didnt come with any. That is why my brakes locked up in the rain, and i rear ended somebody causing $11,600 in damages. i am definatly getting another one just like it, but this time im getting the ABS system.

  • Great car, fun to drive - 2000 Toyota Celica

I bought this car used with 140K miles and put another 60K on it in 2 years. The car is extremely reliable and has had no mechanical issues. Sadly, a man in a Ford F150 broad sided us at 70 mph and totaled my nice little red car. He had to be towed and we loaded up our loose and knocked off parts in the hatch and kept driving. This car is so much fun to drive on twisty roads because its handling allows the car to scream through tight curves. Another bonus is its consistent 32 mpg. It has been as high as 36 mpg (ideal conditions @ 60 mph). Its been a great car and I hate to see it go.

  • I absolutely LOVE my 2000 Toyota Celica - 2000 Toyota Celica

This has to be the best little sports car ever. Its comfortable, sporty, fun to drive, handles like a dream, sleek, chic, and perfect for a girl with attitude. Blackie, as I like to call him, has given me everything I would need in a first car. Its the best car ever for the price and model.

  • Amazing Car - 2000 Toyota Celica

When i found my celica, it wasnt even for sale officially. They were going to sell it to an auction because it was just a trade-in, with about 125,000 miles on it. I fell in love with it instantly and bought it anyway. It was the best, and most dependable car i have ever owned. The only thing i had to get done was oil changes, and was amazing on gas. i recently got in an accident, someone T-boned my drivers side. her front end was demolished, and i didnt even get a bruise. by this time there was about 155,00 miles on it..and still running absolutely perfect. Im looking around for another celica right now, and theres no possibility that i will be purchasing anything other!

  • 75K miles and NOTHING has ever broken! - 2000 Toyota Celica

This is really a wonderful car, the best and most reliable that I have ever owned. I still have the original brakes! I routinely get 26-28 MPG city, and 30 highway, but thats at 80- 85, where the car wants to cruise. The only thing that I miss is a limited slip differential, as when the power comes on, its hard to avoid wheelspin in 1st and second, expecially in the tight turns. Still looks great, too. I really dont want to sell yet . . .
