Rides/Drives like a 10 year old car - 2008 Nissan Sentra
By Lady T - December 23 - 12:53 amI am in month 9 of my 24 month lease. I am not happy at all. I want to return this car. It only drove the first 1000 miles okay. Before I even reached my first 1000 miles, I felt that the cars brakes didnt stop the way they should. My husband thought I was being paranoid but it kept driving funny. Finally, I decided to take it in by 3000 miles to get checked. I was told, "Oh, by the way, the brake master cylinder needs to be replaced. It has been recalled." No one ever contacted me saying this part, a major part for stopping the car properly, was recalled. I barely feel safe driving this car and I have to drive my children. I have taken it back and am still not satisfied.

Im still not sure... - 2008 Nissan Sentra
By Sonoma Red Nissan - November 27 - 12:36 pmI have put about 1250 miles on my new Sentra 2.0 S, and Im still really not sure how I feel about it. If I had it to do over again, I dont think I would have bought this car. I feel like Im driving a stick, it is hard to get used to driving it, thus its very jerky. Hits bumps very hard and shaky. I do love the smallness of the car, yet roomy inside. My inside door panels immediately scratched up terribly from just my coat buttons!! I do love the buttons that show MPG and miles til empty, but am disappointed at getting just about 25.5 mpg. Dealer said it should get over 30-38, but would be higher after breaking in. When is that?? No auto locks or headlights! :(

Nothing exciting - 2008 Nissan Sentra
By kenosmom - November 6 - 6:13 pmBought this car new for practical reasons (not a 4 door sedan type person), and overall a decent car. Smoothest engine Ive ever heard, bar none! CVT transmission works well and gas mileage averaged over 30 mpg. But overall a pretty boring drive. Handling is average, drivers seat too soft and lacks lumbar support, sun visor hits mirror when lowered, (bumper cover popped off, panels dont align well).

bad tires - 2008 Nissan Sentra
By bobbie - October 17 - 1:36 ammileage is great if you can afford tires every 30,000 miles because of the tire alignment going bad all the time.

S OK - 2008 Nissan Sentra
By tarheel - September 18 - 9:56 amI got the SL fully loaded and for the most part the car is great. The build quality seems to be pretty decent, although the sunglasses holder is definitely flimsy. I like the sound system, sunroof, Intelligent key, and trip computer. On the highway, I do get about 32-33 MPG, but in the city, I get terrible mileage. I do drive probably 3 miles at a time sometimes, so that was to be expected. My only complaint was that the brake light has come on twice thus far (Im only about 5500 miles in), both times for reasons beyond anyones comprehension. Nissans warranty covered everything, but it was troubling nevertheless.

Cant Complain - 2008 Nissan Sentra
By Sabs - July 16 - 7:53 amI have owned 6 new cars in the past 4 years, with the Nissan Sentra being my 6th car. I got a more basic model. Granted this is no Toyota Camry or Infiniti G35x, it serves its purpose - a commuter car where I didnt have to dish out an extra $10K for a Prius and averaged 30.5 mpg (mixed city/hwy). For anyone who complains about the quality, the way I see it, you get what you pay for. You didnt buy a luxury car. Personally, I think this is a fun car to drive. Its the smallest car Ive driven so far, but it has some good power and acceleration. If you are looking for a reliable car to get you from point A to B, then keep the Sentra in mind.

This Car is Dangerous! - 2008 Nissan Sentra
By Thomas Kiminski - July 6 - 1:56 amWinter arrived 8000 miles on the car, thats when the true problem came to life, the car was a accident waiting to happen, the car was impossible to control on the road, any ice or snow on the roads and you had to fight for your life to keep the car under control . We took the car back to the dealer and he said that the back tires were half worn out and he knew what the problem was, he changed the rear sub frames and torsion bar and said that he already changed these items on numerous Nissan Sentras and they were a factory defect, but Nissan will not cover the cost of new tires even though its their fault that they are worn out, Until these items are fixed THIS CAR IS VERY DANGEROUS

By dianna - May 1 - 1:16 pmI love my car! My boyfriend bought it for me. I love driving it. I have no complaints about my car at all. It handles very well. I have had all the oil changes and the 15,000 mile inspection. and the tires rotated. It corners very well! No problems at all. If you take care of your car. Its going to last a long time. I hand wash my car.I treat it like a baby!! I love it!

Smooth as water - 2008 Nissan Sentra
By Cali driver - April 25 - 6:20 amThis car has surpassed all expectations. After trying honda civic, toyola corolla/camry, scion, matrix, mazda3, this car had everything in it that were options for the rest. Moonroof, CVT, ABS, leather seats, Bluetooth, XM satellite, fog lights, hidden trunk compartment, alarm, and the best~ Intelligent Key entry. As long as the remote is on you, you dont have to dig around for it to open the door or start your car. The ride is so smooth, like a boat on water. I dont want to stop driving. My boyfriend is 511" and loved driving it. Especially the CVT. There is ample room and my friends are impressed with the drive.

Adequate-performs satisfactory - 2008 Nissan Sentra
By Martin - March 16 - 3:03 amI leased this car for two years. It beat out two other models barely. I wanted a manual transmission but this one is real stiff and start offs are hard to mix gas with clutch. My Model A Ford is smoother. Once past 1st gear its good. The car runs smooth and has plenty of power. The interior has good quality materials. I can manage for 2 years but will buy larger and domestic next time. Gas mileage is not too good right now but is over 30. I expect this will improve. This Sentra is a good solid car.
