Overview & Reviews
After last year's debut to critical acclaim, Nissan's midsize sedan receives minor changes for 2003. Two new exterior colors, Sonoma Sunset and Crystal Blue add pizzazz to the wardrobe. There's a new charcoal seat fabric, padded cloth front center armrest cover (genuine leather on leather-equipped vehicles) and bright titanium interior accent colors for all models to spruce up the interior. The 2.5 SL receives a standard automatic transmission, heated front seats, heated outside mirrors and simulated wood trim. For the 3.5 SE, there is a Sport Package, which includes a sunroof and spoiler, and a Sport Package Plus, which includes sunroof, spoiler, Bose audio system and HID headlights. The 3.5 SE Leather Package now includes a Bose audio system, sunroof and heated seats, while the Leather Sport Package adds a spoiler and xenon headlights. Finally, a new 3.5 SE Premium Leather Package sports all of the above plus throws in fake wood to boot. How can you go wrong?
- Sports car power in a midsize sedan body, high level of features, explosive V6 engine, distinct styling.
- Shabby interior materials, overboosted steering, no stability control.

Patience is a virtue - 2003 Nissan Altima
By a25ret - December 22 - 10:00 amI looked for two months for the right car. I narrowed it down to the Altima 2.5S, Camry LE and the Sonata LE (fully loaded). Each car has advantages.I finally made the decision to buy the Altima and I am extemely happy. I got it for a few hundred under invoice. The Camry was to plain and I just could not flush my money on the Hyundai. The Altima is large, powerful, roomy, plenty of power features, and lots of storage space. The 175hp 4cyl is responsive and the gas mileage is good. I have never been happier with a new car purchase. The color is polished pewter. I highly recommend the Nissan Altime for looks, power and quality.

Exceptional - 2003 Nissan Altima
By knoll - December 15 - 2:00 amBased on personal comparison shopping, the 2003 Nissan Altima outperformed its competitors in terms of price and quality. The standard 170+hp engine on the 2.5s is more than sufficient and can be upgraded, while keeping a very young professional feel to it necessary in my line of work. The only minor drawback, which should not discourage the Altimas potentional buyers, is that the engine is slightly noiser than its Toyota Camry counterpart, which is to be expected with the larger engine. I am so satisfied with this car that I recommend this car to all my friends.

Nissan To Die For! - 2003 Nissan Altima
By TAL - December 15 - 2:00 amI have owned a Lexus, BMW, Mazda RX-7, Diamante and a Suburban, to name some. I can honestly say this is the most fun car out of all of the above. The power is unbelievable! You have to be careful when accelerating quickly due to the front wheel drive (it gets a little out of control!) I LOVE IT! I would highly reccommend this car for the money.

not too shabby - 2003 Nissan Altima
By yankeefan - November 28 - 10:00 amPurcased the vehicle for the wife with the intention of also using as family transport. She needed less of a car but I made the mistake of test driving the 3.5 SE first and could not even imagine having to drive the four banger ever. Basically got it loaded. Leather package, ABS, traction control, side air bags. havent had it long but she is very happy so far. Have a buddy that owns the same car and he loves it also.

I Know My Car! - 2003 Nissan Altima
By willtiger01 - November 28 - 10:00 amThis is the exact kind of vehicle I was looking for except I didnt know that until the initial test drive. The only problem that Ive had is the transmission being very jerky in a sense, probably in relation to its newness. Other than that this is a vehicle that can fit any personality and any lifestyle. Im so happy, I could plotz! - 2003 Nissan Altima
By webdiva1269 - November 9 - 10:00 amJust picked this up yesterday, and have already put close to 200 miles on it. This is absolutely the most fun car I have ever owned!! I am the mom of a 3 year old, and it fits an adult and 2 car seats in the back, as well as me (58") and my brother (64") in the front. Factory stereo is good quality- no Bose, but a nice sounding system, and the crystal blue paint with the side sills and splash guards gives this car a distincly not-your-average kindermusik mom look!!
