Overview & Reviews
SR5 models have new 16-inch wheels, and a limited-slip differential is available on V8-powered trucks. No other changes are in store for the 2002 Toyota Tundra.
- Silky V8, Toyota build quality, less-than-full-size maneuverability.
- Lacks wide range of choice offered by domestics, somewhat uncomfortable front seats, meager rear cab room on Access Cab, chintzy interior trimmings.

Best bang for the Buck!!!! - 2002 Toyota Tundra
By t8nda - April 29 - 9:33 pmI looked around for 3 months before buying my Tundra. I went with the Limited version because it would have cost more money to add the same features to an SR5. The build quality is Top Notch. The engine has plenty of power. I towed a large trailer 350+ miles and had to look in the rearview mirror to rimind myself I was even towing something. I am extremely satisfied.

It fits in my garage! - 2002 Toyota Tundra
By hutch7 - March 5 - 2:00 amIve had this truck for 2 years now. Its been flawless with the exception of the front brakes which Toyota upgraded under warranty. Excellent ride and drivability. Built to last (unlike my last F-150).

Wonderful Truck - 2002 Toyota Tundra
By Greg - February 3 - 4:46 pmI am very happy with this truck. It rides great, handles good and is very quiet and comfortable. I have a 91 Toyota truck with 191,000 miles on it and that one runs almost perfect. I cant imagine purchasing anything but a Toyota. I am confident this truck will go at least 200K without needing any repairs.

check vibration - 2002 Toyota Tundra
By smithdog - September 2 - 10:00 amToyota tundra has vibration issues in floorboard thru the arm rest.. Do a thorough test drive before considering purchase. Different vehicles vibrate in the driveshaft at different speeds. V6 more at low speds and V8 more at high speeds.

Make Ford owners jealous - 2002 Toyota Tundra
By SGT A - August 26 - 2:00 amI have had a Ford and a Chevy, and I know two many dodge owners to get one my self. In the short time, I have owned my Toyota it beats the others without trouble. The ride is great and the placement of the controls is right on.

02tundra limited 4x4 - 2002 Toyota Tundra
By blueyedevil - June 22 - 2:15 pmI,ve owned an 02 tundra (access cab) 4x4 for 10 yrs. I bought it with 40k miles, mint condition. I have 328,500 miles on it now. no that is not a miss-print. I put 35k a yr. religiously. I replaced the timing belt and water pump at 125k(cause the manual says to) and was about to have it done again. But, a deer took my baby out 4 days ago. Ive owned 5 chevy,s , 1 ford, and 1 dodge. never have I gotten over 189k on any one of them. Shopping for another Yota 02 4x4( 4.7L). Im buying another in a couple days with 190k miles and I know I wont have a problem with it. (p.s. the ride is a little rough on hard surfaces but its a 4x4. But,Tracks really straight/tight on wet narrow dirt rds )

Happy with My Tundra - 2002 Toyota Tundra
By Jango Barks - May 8 - 12:06 pmI bought my Tundra following a terrible front-end collision. Well beyond its crash rating, my Tundra meets my needs beautifully.
