  • Great car for the money. - 2000 Toyota Corolla

I bought this car used from a Ford Dealer and it has given me no problems as of yet. The build quality and reliability are amazing, Being young I have rode in many other smaller cars and this car just feels like it has been put together well. The 1.8L VVT- i engine is on par with its competetors. It has far more torque than a civic, and the power comes on down low. Lets not be mistaken this car is no rocket, but if driven right its no slouch. I have the 4 speed auto and it shifts smoothly. To sum up this car in one word it would be smooth. I recomend this car to anyone who needs a good reliable car at an extremely afordable price.

This car is great. It goes forever on a tank of gas and has enough room for all of my hockey gear. I can pick 3 of my smaller friends and bring them with me anywhere. Sometimes I wish the engine was a little bit more sporty, but it has got enough juice to make a pass without a problem, but it wont win any races. It has lots of little pieces that rattle, like the door locks and window crank.

I have had excellent service from this vehicle but feel it is time to exchange for a newer model. Have had no problems or complaints about performance ability,

  • Best car for my money - 2000 Toyota Corolla

Had a 2000 Toyota Corolla 5 speed. I dont drive it any more as I got onto a 3-series BIMR. I like the 5 speed transmission. Can do burnouts easily though the front wheel dr. is little annoying. Not fancy, but reliable. I wouldnt had gone for a Corolla if it was not a 5-speed. Poor handling. Be careful when you drive it in corners. Not really safe.

  • Cant get better than this! - 2000 Toyota Corolla

I have had my car for approx. 2 years and have not once had to put it in the shop for major service. If you take care of this car (i.e. oil changes, tires) it will last you a long time. When I walked into the dealer I never expected to walk out with a Corolla however, it was the best decision. For the money I paid, Im going to run this thing into the ground. Super car. Comfortable (have driven to Canada and New York with no complaints from my passengers). And you cant beat the resale value.

  • Oil Burner - 2000 Toyota Corolla

This car has 220,000 miles on it and consumes tons of oil. Weekly it will "use" 2 qts. of oil. It doesnt leak, it doesnt smoke... so where does it go? I just refill it and go. This car is stout and handles very well except in the snow. 220,000 miles and it is still strong. I just have to buy stock in an oil distribution company. Nothing beats Toyota!

  • It Just Wont Die - 2000 Toyota Corolla

Weve used this car as a daily commuter and grocery getter for over seven years and it still hangs tough. The check engine light stays on for no reason that the mechanic can find, but it still runs well. One day well move up to something more modern, but for basic, economical transportation it will still be running around town when todays Dodge Calibers and Nissan Versas are toast. Those who survive the apocalypse will be driving Corollas.

  • Best little car for the money! - 2000 Toyota Corolla

This little car offered more than I ever expected. Although it was a CE it had many of the power features of the fancier priced models. A big, roomy package at a small price! It definitely moves out on the highway where I do most of my driving, but the milage was always 36-40 mpg. Overall, if not an A+, it still gets an A. I just bought my second one after nearly three satisfied years! GREAT car for the money!

I have had this car for a little over 4 years. I bought it when it had just over 50k miles on it. Now, it has almost 120k miles. I plan on running it for another 100 or 200k. Its a good little car and will probably be around for my kids to drive when they are old enough in another 16 years. My only issues with it are its not very roomy, Im 68" and dont fit very well, but I fit in here as well as I do in most cars, even bigger cars. The drivers side handle has broken, the ceiling fabric has developed a rip in the rear by the rear window from the drivers side windows being open. The drivers inside handle is broken and the window doesnt roll up. I only get just over 30 mpg. It was 36.
