Solara four-cylinder models will achieve ultralow emission vehicle (ULEV) status. A convertible version is now offered for topless fun. SLE models get a JBL premium audio system as standard equipment, and an in-dash six-disc CD changer is optional. Two new exterior colors are offered.

You get so much for the price - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara
By jrays - March 31 - 2:00 amIve owned my Solara for 2 years now and I still get a thrill each time I drive it. Its a perfect combination of sportiness, luxury, reliability and price. A car cant be all things to all people, but this one fits me perfectly. Its very comfortable to drive and the back seat can easily hold 3 people. The sound system is great and the automatic climate control keeps the cabin very comfortable. In 2 years, all Ive done is routine maintenance to my Solara.

2000 Toyota Solara - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara
By Gordon Beach - March 8 - 8:07 pmI bought my 2000 Solara with 64,000 miles on it in 2002. I am still driving it today with 330,000 miles on it in harsh winters and hole riddled roads of Michigan. All I have had to do is basic routine maintenance, and replace the some suspension parts as they have wore due to all the mileage. I drive it back and forth to work (80miles round trip) every day, I could not have asked for a better car. I have had nothing but issues in the past with american cars, so I just bought my 16yr old a 1999 Solara with miles on it for school work and then college. Best car I have ever owned!

Incredible Car - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara
By eastsideirish - January 10 - 11:17 pmI bought my 2000 Solara used in 02 (with 61k) and had it for 10 years (ended at 162k). I had a 89 Beretta and 93 Civic before buying my 1st Toyota. Both were often in the shop so I bought this b/c of the Toyota reputation and it never let me down. In 10 yrs all I did was replace the brakes & battery twice, the alternator and the air conditioning. It rode smooth until some asshat hit & totaled it. It was even pretty good in the snow! If anyone is looking to buy a Solara I would highly recommend it--and trust me Im not a "car guy". My family was always American car owners. Now everyone owns a Toyota. Well, except me, I bought a Lexus w/ all the $ I got for its high resale value!

By Lane O. - June 5 - 10:00 amBought new in 2000. Ive had 15-20 vehicles over my lifetime. This is clearly the best vehicle Ive ever owned. Put 135k on it before giving it to my daughter and her husband. Theyll probably put 100k on it and sell it to someone who will get another 100k or more. Reliability is freaky good. Replaced a battery, the exhaust, etc. as expected over the long period of time owned. No quality issues whatsoever.

Reliable Comfortable Good-looking Value - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara
By dapqam - February 23 - 11:26 pmI bought this car when 2 years old and with 30K miles. Now have 72K miles and only one significant problem. Driver side window motor quit. $500 dealer replacement. Otherwise great. Comfortable, good looking, reliable. In summer of 2008 I finally replaced the original battery! I take good care of my cars, synthetic oil, regular maintenance on coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, filters. Twice yearly oil application on underside of car and in doors and under hood to prevent rust. I plan on keeping this car indefinitely. Am always tempted to buy a new Camry but I keep this one because I am so happy with it.

Solid Performer - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara
By Westie_Lover - February 15 - 6:16 pmIve run this car like no other. It has had a couple of minor problems but nothing major in 110K miles. Far and away the best car Ive ever owned. Body still tight and fuel economy great, even in stop-and-go traffic. Engine looks almost new.

By Sport Broom - December 19 - 10:00 amThe Solara is truly an amazing car to own and drive.It runs quietly and smoothly.It is very reliable and dependable.I got my 2000 brand new,now have 42,000 miles and never had any problems with it.With regular check-up amd maintenance, everythings still original.We loved it so much that we also bought a 2001 Solara for my husband.We are happy with our Solaras!
