Overview & Reviews
For the 2006 Toyota Avalon, the availability of stability control has been expanded to include the XL and Touring trim levels. Keyless startup is now standard, rather than optional, on the Limited.
- Carefully constructed cabin worthy of the Lexus name, powerful and fuel-efficient V6 engine, serene ride quality, huge rear seat, numerous upscale amenities.
- Refined nature leaves little room for personality, rear seats do not fold.

SUV Alternative - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By C. Holland - January 19 - 4:40 amI helped my sister purchase a 2003 Avalon XLS which really impressed me. When my wife and I decided to upgrade our ride quality from a popular SUV, the Avalon was a logical choice. The Limited had comfort features we sought, in spades. The ride is exceptional, good gas mileage and neat appointments. The styling is really impressive and we are constantly getting positive comments from friends and strangers who love the blue color and tan leather interior. I honestly feel considering what you get in this car, power looks and reliability plus resale value, it is an excellent buy.

Very, Very, Very, NICE!!! - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By bmwgoz - January 11 - 3:53 pmIts only been a week, but it was the right choice and gets better everytime I get behind the wheel. The wife wasnt involved with the purchse, but was flat out amazed and excited. Took a short trip today and highway cruzing was incredible. I highly recommend adding this vehicle to your list of test drives, it might change your mind. As american as any large sedan I have been in. My high reliability rating is based on it being a Toyota at this point, but I havent heard of mechanical issues with 2005, mostly cosmetic stuff.

Avalon 06 Limited in Blizzard White - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By mls4deals - December 21 - 3:50 pmThis vehicle is the ONLY way to travel. It has been hard to get but worth the wait. This is the best vehicle I have ever driven in any class or price arena. It offers the most for the least and is very unique creating much attention wherever I go. Love the power, style, comfort and economy. Do NOT HESTATE. :)

Lexus - No. Toyota - YES!! - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By Brian - November 30 - 5:00 amI cannot imagine spending $20K more for a Lexus. This car accelerates wildly, stops quickly and ensures you are safe doing so with a multitude of safety features. You cannot find another car with comparable performance and luxury for this price. Toyota reliabilty is the icing on the cake. My touring model handles and rides like a european sedan. Flat, stable and sound handling that instills confidence. I drive cars for a living and have done so for over 25 years. This is the best vehicle, overall, that I have ever seen or driven.

No Regrets - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By Suzanne - November 25 - 9:43 amBeing the kind of person who looks for a good balance of performance, reliability, styling and luxury for a reasonable price, I settled on the Avalon. From day one of owning this car, there has never had a doubt in my mind that it was the right vehicle to achieve that balance. This has not been the case in prior vehicle purchases, and certainly not with the 300M I came from. No comparison. I selected the Touring trim, as I couldnt justify paying a lot more a few extra features (push-button start, rain-sensing wipers) that I really dont need. I miss the heated seats in Minnesota, but the car is black, so it works. This is a car that I know I will keep for many years to come.

Great car for the money - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By happy owner - November 18 - 11:40 amTraded an 01 Cadillac DTS for my first for my first foreign car (built in Kentucky!) and have been very happy. Excellent performance, 0 to 60 in under 7 sec,and averaging 29 mpg on highway on regular. Just returned from a 4000 mile trip and got 35 mpg on a 55 mph strip. Thats as good as my daughter got on her 95 Civic coupe. The Caddy got 15 in town and only 24 max on the road. The Avalon has much better acceleration too. I also expect to get much better resale value than the Caddy.

My 2006 Avalon Limited - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By ROBG9 - November 13 - 6:53 amThis is my third consecutive Avalon. First 1995 second 2000 and present 2006. I find the Avalon to be a safe, reliable and comfortable car. Guests who ride in the car for the first time always comment on the design and interior room, luxury and comfort. If my present Avalon proves to be as reliable as my previous ones then I will be buying another when that time comes.

Great Limited - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By Mike - November 5 - 4:56 pmGreat car so far. Would like 8 way power seat on passenger side. License plate is attached to plastic bumper, not metal and the hole is easily torn. The radio is not equal to the Bose system. Otherwise great car for the money.

By Bill - October 28 - 4:50 amMy wife has a 2006 Lexus GS300 and i have a 2006 Toyota Limited we have more room in my limited both in the rear and trunk then the Lexus. We use my Limited more then her Lexus and we payed a lot more for that lexus. For what i payed for my limited to me the car has a lot more to offer its a lot of fun to drive and the fuel ecomony is great. Im getting 24 mpg around town and 34 to 35 mpg on the open road. As far as we are concerned we love our TOYOTA LIMITED. If any one is thinking about getting one please do so you wont be sorry. Keep up the good work TOYOTA.
