Overview & Reviews
For the 2006 Toyota Avalon, the availability of stability control has been expanded to include the XL and Touring trim levels. Keyless startup is now standard, rather than optional, on the Limited.
- Carefully constructed cabin worthy of the Lexus name, powerful and fuel-efficient V6 engine, serene ride quality, huge rear seat, numerous upscale amenities.
- Refined nature leaves little room for personality, rear seats do not fold.

Quality and gas mileage - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By Steve - June 17 - 12:13 amAfter driving 2 Chrysler 300s previous to owning this Avalon, I am particularly impressed with the overall quality of the vehicle. Lots of small and some big problems with the Chryslers, but none with the Avalon. I continue to be amazed by the fuel economy of this large sedan. I consistently get 29 to 31 miles per gallon on the highway at speeds of 70 mph. I have actually gotten 33 mpg on two trips.

Reliability, Style and Sport - A list - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By Warren - June 15 - 4:00 pmAfter owning a Camry for 185,000 trouble free miles, I committed to the next Toyota model up, the Avalon. The ride, handling and mileage has satisfied my appeal. What has grown is the appreciation for the design. It sleek and complements the interior proportions perfectly. I could not have wished for a better auto to drive, enjoy and admire. I expect 100,000 plus trouble free miles and look to my Toyota service department to help that happen. Couldnt be happier.

Senior driving around SF Valley Ca - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By xls 4dr sedan(3.5l 6 - June 11 - 3:56 pmSmooth handling on freeways and city streets of Los Angeles, Orange County California. I am retired senior, male, 6 tall, long legs and I have generous leg room and ample view of road. This car will remain a vehicle I can remain proud of and comfortable in as I age.

Love this car! - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By Patti - May 25 - 6:30 pmI bought a 2006 Avalon because I had a 98 Avalon and loved it so much I didnt want to get a new one - but my husband wanted to get me a new car, so we got another Avalon. On relatively flat, freeway driving we get 33 - 35 mpg, much more than I thought we would get. We are very pleased with our car. I love the heated seats in the winter!

Impressive and a steal - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By Worth every $$ - May 5 - 6:16 pmHave had the car for 1 week and its been a great experience. I would recommend this car to family. Cant go wrong. The price point makes sense. You get a lot for your $$$. They actually redesigned this car to have its own character... not a bigger Camry.

Best Designed Avalon Yet - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By bobandangie - April 12 - 1:36 pmOur 2006 Avalon is our third; weve owned an 01 and an 03 previously, and were satisfied with them. The new 06 weve purchased has just cracked 8500 miles and runs better than our first day. Its roomy, the controls are perfectly aligned and its the ultimate luxury sedan.

BEST CAR IN ITS CLASS - PERIOD. - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By R. P. Oakley - April 3 - 6:53 amFor the price nothing, absolutely nothing, comes close in this class. Lexus, Acura, Infinity you just dont cut the mustard. Wonderfully designed and built AMERICAN CAR, solid performance, fully appointed, eloquent style, comfortable, Toyota reliability - and a GREAT price!!!! Why throw your money down the tub to get a "fancy" label on the trunk? I am extremely happy with this TOYOTA and have no doubt I made the best possible buy. This car will appeal to smart shoppers that do their homework when looking for the absolute best performance and quality in a car - for the lowest price. Not for those that are willing to pay more for their clothes just for the "fashion" label.

06 Limited - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By Dennis in Wisconsin - March 26 - 3:06 pmGreat Automobile. Only one item I would like to see improved. The flip up door for the front cup holders, the way it is positioned it is not real user frienly for the driver. Smooth to drive, quiet with adequate power. Really like the push button start.

TRADED A LEXUS - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By EX LEXUS OWNER - March 19 - 8:10 amI love my new Limited! I have had two Lexus ES300 and though I loved the ride, neither was large enough for my real estate business. This car has it all over the Lexus ES, except I did love the quiet and smoother ride of the Lexus. My Limited is more comfortable, more room for my coffee, storage and my clients love the leg room and comfort in the back seat. The heated seats are great and the mirror flashers are a plus..love it. I have just put 4000 miles so hoping the best is yet to come. This, so far, is a keeper. The mileage is about 29-30 highway and 16-17 in town....not great, but equal to the Lexus.
