Overview & Reviews
For the 2006 Toyota Avalon, the availability of stability control has been expanded to include the XL and Touring trim levels. Keyless startup is now standard, rather than optional, on the Limited.
- Carefully constructed cabin worthy of the Lexus name, powerful and fuel-efficient V6 engine, serene ride quality, huge rear seat, numerous upscale amenities.
- Refined nature leaves little room for personality, rear seats do not fold.

Love the Limited - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By Chynzo - June 11 - 10:13 amTraded in my 2002 Avalon XL for the 2006 Limited and no regrets yet. Rides like a dream and interior and exterior appearance much improved from 2002 model. Quiet ride, great accelleration, good fuel mileage for the size of the car. JBL sound system is top notch. Could do without the Laser cruise control as it will slow you down so slowly that you are not aware of it when approaching another vehicle.

Almost a Perfect Car! - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By BigMac2000 - May 28 - 7:06 amI drive a lot for a living and the need for a large comfortable car with good gas mileage was key. The Toyota Avalon was the solution. It is a great car! Ton of room, great ride, quiet (for the most part), great gas mileage, stylish but... The front seat is not the most comfortable (I bought an additional lumbar support), the transmission has a very defined sticking point or "jerk" as one writter put it, between 1st and 2nd gear, the stereo needs to have a little more zest (I wanna rock!). But all in all a great car!

What a Car - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By Just Me - May 16 - 7:43 amWith 10,000 miles behind me, Im still in awe driving what I consider to be the best car I have ever owned. Even though its heavier then the 04 it gets better gas mileage. I havent had one problem with this car. When I get into some of my friends cars, a Mercedes or Acura RL (no room in back seat) I cant understand why they cost more. This is the best bargain out there, and trust me, its a luxury car minus the name plate. Maybe we should keep this to ourselves so Toyota doesnt jack the price up. What a smooth riding car.

A comfortable powerful cruiser - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By tblewy - May 9 - 6:50 amA very comfortable highway cruiser with good safety features and gas mileage. We love this car for its space, comfort level driving ease. Long trips are much less tedious than in the old (1997) Intrepid although it is a nice car it is not near the equal of this new Avalon.

Avalon 2006 XLS - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By jhvelez - March 22 - 8:56 amThe car is very quiet, handles well, no strange noises or anything disturbing. The only concern is the trip range that sometimes would not adjust when tank is filed.

Super Auto - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By Jim - March 9 - 4:00 amThe best vehicle I have owned during the past forty years. Great style, ride, and all around super auto. I have over 16K on it without any problems to date. Has excellent power, but still has decent gas mileage.

I never give 10s - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By sk - March 8 - 1:50 pmThis is the smoothist car Ive ever driven. Its fast, quick and very responsive. The nav system is a bit hard to figure out, but once you do its great. Ive had no problems at all in my first year and no regrets. This is the first "import" Ive ever bought. I had a near "hit" on the GSP. The car handled better than I ever imagined.

Our 06 XLS - 2006 Toyota Avalon
By Dale - March 6 - 7:56 amWe are completely impressed with our XLS, it is truly the vehicle for us, the overall performance of the powertrain is superb, we broke it right in with a 2,500 mile trip right after taking delivery of it & it performed "second to none". We are very satisfied with all aspects of the vehicle for the price paid. Who needs a Lexus when the Avalon is available!!
