2005 Sentra Special Edition 1.8L Auto - 2005 Nissan Sentra
By NewEnglandDevil - February 2 - 8:10 amAn excellent vehicle to own and drive, has made my commute (~66 miles/day, + trips to client sites = 100+ miles occasionally) affordable. Blew a head gasket while still under warranty (~48K), needed a chip download to eliminate rough shifting. Ive avoided replacing two expensive lights - fog light broke from being packed with snow and 3rd brake light went out. Other than that, no problems and Ive had no expensive repairs. Has performed great in NE winter; even managed to get up a ~10% unplowed incline to our winter rental in NH. Previously owned a Nissan Truck (350K) so Im not expecting any problems with the engine or tranny and Im at 123K now.

The Potent SE-R Spec V - 2005 Nissan Sentra
By Sleepn Spec V - January 27 - 10:00 amI have been driving this car since the end of June and I enjoy every chance I have to drive the Sentra SE-R Spec V. The potent QR25DE motor, helical limited-slip differential, close-ratio 6-speed, Z-rated tires, and front strut tower bar keep this car glued down around every corner and lane change you need to make. Acceleration is a deffenite surprise for the 175hp and 180lbs.ft., pulling onto new roads is done with ease while experiencing the fun of a close-ratio 6-speed that features dual-synchros for hitting perfect 1-2 gear shifts.

Great for high miles - 2005 Nissan Sentra
By great for high miles - December 14 - 9:56 pmI drive 300 miles a day on a route, mostly highway miles, and this Nissan performs very very well. On a good day, I can AVERAGE 40.58 mpg! The worst I got was 37 mpg. All with great power and really good comfort. Id highly recommend this car to everyone, based on performance.

Frustrated! - 2005 Nissan Sentra
By bigisland808 - September 29 - 6:18 amBought this car from the orignal owner with low mileage 30K, seemed like a realiable car. The car well kept, inside and out. Too top it off we did our homework, called the dealership... the lady bought in her car faithfully for service since she bought the car. Only thing was there was a nail in the tire which they fixed 2 months ago. Had the car for 3 weeks with no problem then all of a sudden one morning the car had a hard time starting up. Bought into the dealership the very next day and they said that I had a blown headgasket. Nissisan claims it was a defect and costs $1800 to be fixed! AGGHH!

Lots of Pep and Good Gas Mileage - 2005 Nissan Sentra
By JT - September 28 - 7:20 pmI purchased the 1.8S Special Edition package and received an excellent deal. I looked at everything from Scions, Focus, Hondas and Toyotas. One test drive and i was sold, not to mention the deal. This car has been very peppy so far. Not a squeak, rattle or a murmur so far. Im getting 36mpg, and i average about 65 to 70mph on my commute. The Rockford Fosgate stereo system is incredible. Backseat is a little, but i dont sit there. The dash layout is easy to read, all dials and buttons are where you would think they would be. Trunk is spacious for a small car. Also if youre so inclined this car has been very easy to service yourself.I would recommend this car if you want dependable transport

One of the best Foreign economy cars - 2005 Nissan Sentra
By faruk - July 15 - 12:16 pmbought this car on finance, never had any problem, i drove honda civic 2004 also in comparision Nissan Sentra is better. nissan sentra & toyota corola both are better than civic. very strong body. my wife loves it. steering wheel is a little stiffer than corola. but its a little road rocket. as i have manual transmission on this car & actually giving me around 32 to 36 miles a gallon on highways which is great. i would never sell my car for a domestic. my friend had ford focus always broke down on him. he went and bought a sentra. american cars tends to start breaking down after 50k mostly because they focus on quantity, japanese cars are more focused on quality. believe me go test drive it.

Great little eco car - 2005 Nissan Sentra
By Digiburd - July 6 - 11:26 pmJust bought this car a few days ago and personally it was a tough decision. The price was the clincher. I was torn between the Hyundai Elantra 5Dr, and the Nissan Sentra Special Edition. Both cars had similar features and price. After test driving the Nissan handles better and feels more "solid" you get the door "thunk" in the Nissan that in my mind spells quality. The ride is smooth and quite, the stereo rocks (get the audio fanatic package), and its peppy. After all was said and done I paid the TMV price. Which with the refund got me way under what the Hyundai was going for. Plus you get a better True cost to owner with the Nissn. In my mind, a better choice.

Built to last - 2005 Nissan Sentra
By Drive it - June 7 - 2:46 pmBest buy for the money, compare all prices and you will buy the Nissan because of value and dependability. Nissan makes the best engine, period. After you drive your Sentra 320,000 miles you may find it uncomfortable, THEN BUY A NEW ONE, technology changes. I have driven three (3) Sentras for a total of 420,000 miles without an engine service light coming on, this should tell you something. Both of my daughters now own Nissans. I feel better knowing that they are safer, and in a dependable vehicle.
