This Year's Model Updates:

The base 1.8 model receives the body-colored door handles and upper instrument panel storage bin from the upper-level models. A trip computer and cruise control are now included on the 1.8 S, and all models receive new seat fabrics. There's also a new color for the gauge cluster housing on the SE-R, and a new shift knob for the SE-R Spec V.

Pros:
  • Functional cabin design, powerful 2.5-liter engine, nimble handling, lots of standard features.
Cons:
  • Generic styling, small backseat, SE-R Spec V model commands premium price.

  • Great car for the money. - 2005 Nissan Sentra

Oil it, gas it and step on it - this car requires little attention and will surpass all others in its class. Try one out and see.

Only drove it once so far and was satisfied the way it handled. I like the latest features and safety provisions.

  • I hate this car! - 2005 Nissan Sentra

Weve had a terrible time with this car. The first issue we had was the CD player ate the disk and wont throw it up. The car overheats constantly. We cant take it out of town for fear of being stranded. It is reluctant starting, it usually takes 3 times to get it to start!

  • Blown head gasket 110KKM, 5 years old - 2005 Nissan Sentra

Seriously? I have never blown a head gasket on 5 other vehicles that I have taken over 250KKM., two past 400 What modern car maker can fail to prevent such a potentially serious design flaw or to correct it once it becomes generally known? The old style school of denial just does not work in the internet age. Fool me once, shame on me... anything but a Nissan the next time.

This 2005 Sentra has a blown head gasket and the dealership, Conicelli Nissan in Conshohocken PA has tried to cover up the problem for months.

  • Best Car for the Money! - 2005 Nissan Sentra

Bought my 5 speed sentra sedan new and it has 81,000 miles on it. A fun, peppy car to drive with good gas mileage. Have not had one problem - have just changed oil frequently, one basic brake job, one new set of tires, one battery, and replaced all belts before a very long trip because the car had 60,000 miles on it and had never had a belt replaced - thats it and its been in the massachusetts winters. Starts first time every time - best car value that I have ever had bar none. Enjoy!

  • Lotta performance, little $$ - 2005 Nissan Sentra

This is my top pick for $20,000 and under sport compacts. I purchased my Spec V in Mar. 04, and I still love driving it more than ever! My favorite part is the extremely competent handling and torque. The car has excellent power to weight ratio. 6sp. manual has great ratios but has trouble finding 5th gear alot. styling is a bit econocar on steriods, but the driver doesnt mind.

  • Love it - 2005 Nissan Sentra

This is my second new Sentra. Bought the first, a 1999 in December of 1998. I had no problems with it. Bought this one, a 2005 in December of 2004. The back seat leg room is best for smaller people. It drives and rides great! I dont think you can beat the looks or ride for the money.

  • Love my New Car - 2005 Nissan Sentra

I just bought my 2005 Sentra the day after Memorial Day. So far I love it. I have the 1.8s Special Edition. The stereo is great and the ride is very nice. However, I do have two children and would not recommend it for long trips. The space in the back is very cramped. My only other complaint would be the placement of the cup holders in the front of the car. Other than that I am impressed by everything else.

My husband bought this car for me for Mothers Day. I really like this car but I do not love it yet. (I am used to driving a full sized sedan) It is great on gas and easy to drive (although I would have preferred a 5 speed)The biggest complaint I guess I have is that the backseat is rather small. It is great for the small kids but adults or older kids would be very cramped. I would not want to drive it on a long trip with the kids. Overall it is a great car for running errands on and driving around town.
