Overview & Reviews
The Mazda CX-7 is a compact crossover SUV with seating for five. Introduced for 2007, it was a refinement on the more utilitarian Tribute and like most newer Mazdas, it has an athletic demeanor. The CX-7 also incorporates most of the elements that continue to make crossovers so popular, including carlike handling, available all-wheel drive and a useful amount of cargo capacity.
Although the CX-7 is fun to drive as crossovers go, its base four-cylinder engine is memorable for its sluggish acceleration and subpar fuel economy. The available turbocharged four-cylinder solves the performance problem, but its fuel economy is even worse. With the efficient CX-5 waiting in the wings, the CX-7 was phased out after the 2012 model year.

awesome fun to drive - 2007 Mazda CX-7
By slightjackson - March 14 - 6:30 pmI love the fact that you dont see many on the road. Everyone is missing out on a fun vehicle to drive. Love the sound system and the performance of the turbocharged 4 cylinder. Very comfortable and the Bose system is quality. Everything about this car is quality for the price.

Good Compromise Between the Wife and I - 2007 Mazda CX-7
By KeithB - March 11 - 10:40 amWe had been looking for a new vehicle in the $30,000 price range. We test drove everything from Hondas to Volvos trying to find a vehicle we could agree on. Finally the local dealer got in a CX-7. The functionality of the vehicle sold my wife, and the surge from the turbo sold me. Weve had it for a week now and so far Im happy with it. My biggest complaint is that the ride is a little stiff. It takes corners like a champ, but I can see how it can get tiring after a 4+ hour trip.

Zoom Zoom - 2007 Mazda CX-7
By Lesley - March 10 - 4:33 amI love my CX-7 this was the first car I really did my home work on. The technology package is a must have. The class is all on its own considering the investment. As people blow by me in their BMWs and Mercedes, I just smile and hug the wheel. I truly feel like Mazda has stepped up to the plate with the new CX-7. Enjoy Yours! Zoom Zoom!

First week experience - 2007 Mazda CX-7
By runabout78 - March 2 - 4:30 pmA head-turning design which fulfills its promise in my opinion. Outstanding performance feel but not yet broke in. However, you can tell its there. Interior is comfortable and high-tech feeling. Steering is taut with good feel. Ride is firm but not hard. Just right in my opinion. First fuel refill, took 10 gallons for 182 miles, about what is predicted. When broken in, it will be a barrel of fun to drive as all turbo cars with a 6 speed transmission should be. Shifts are smooth and powerful. Anyone liking modern design and high tech cars should love this automobile. Heads turn constantly which says volumes for its looks. A winner!

Purrrfect - 2007 Mazda CX-7
By ben - January 30 - 1:16 amI get great gas mileage if I keep my foot out of the turbo. But get real, who wants to do that, I bought this for the fun and the reliability of the mazda name. My CX-7 is the best car-suv ever. Thanks Mazda!!

Big Disapointment - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By lilgreenfrog76 - January 20 - 12:02 amI thought driving a Mazda would be wonderful. I love forgeign cars as they last forever!! I couldnt be more wrong. Bought the car with 16k miles and at 70k miles, the engine blows. First was thought the timing chain broke, but wasnt. Mazda will NOT stand by their product. They have a crappy warrenty for a reason. Their cars are CRAP!! I checked out more cars like mine, there IS a bad problem with the engines!!! There is NO reason for a maintained car to have such issues at low miles. I had a VW with 144k miles, 10 years old and never once gave me problems. SHAME ON YOU MAZDA!! Build a better car or fix it. Check reviews and engine problems on the 07 & 08 CX-7s!! U have been WARNED!!!!

The Best Sport ZOOM ZOOM SUV - 2007 Mazda CX-7
By galmanza - January 19 - 5:47 amI have it for almost 7 months, and it just work perfectly, until now i didnt found any problem, i just came back from a trip to Las Vegas and the CX-7 was perfect on the road! Gas millage was better than the last time when we do the same thip but in a Ford Edge... we save a lot of money on gas this time! Exellente build quality, exterior and interior design, it just look great! Great Bose sound sytem, sunroof, the CX-7 just run like if you have a sporty car with it 4 cilender turbocharge! In my opinion MAZDA has better quality, realability and designs that Honda and Toyota.

Who would have thought? - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By bb - January 18 - 1:30 pmI have had this amazing SUV for about a month and could not be more impressed. I cant believe I ended up with Mazda. I looked at BMW X3, Audi Q7, VW Toureg, and the Nissan Pathfinder. After driving all of these I could not believe how close the BMW and the Mazda were. So, I bought the Mazda and saved some money. I couldnt be happier and I have not had this much fun driving anything in the last 15 years!

Loving my CX7 - 2007 Mazda CX-7
By 2007 Mazda - January 9 - 12:23 amI just recently purchased this 2007 used vehicle a few weeks ago. Reading the reviews are scary, but I havent experienced a problem as of yet. With my vehicle I purchased the extended warranty for four years, hopefully that will cover any future problems if they should arrive. Wow, my first Mazda & I pray I dont encounter these problems. I figured Id cross over after driving Honda all my life, I thought why not, and according to the reviews I made a bad decision, but I can only hope my vehicle is not apart of the problems everyone else is experiencing. So far so good & my fingers I crossed, cause I just love the lil vehicle as of now...
